The crew that came was great. Fast and friendly. The pricing was a rip off. They told us one thing and ended up charging almost a thousand dollars to what was supposed to be 475. I moved from one building to another in the same apartment complex and they charged for gas. That say time starts upon arrival but you also spend half an hour with paperwork and having them park and get ready that’s 45 mins. I don’t recommend. These people are straight thieves. Will never use again. Damn
Anthony and his team did an amazing job with our move from one state to the next. They were efficient, but careful. Everything was wrapped well and there was no damage. They worked together like a well oiled machine! I also enjoyed the positive upbeat attitude during the whole move and they brought a smile to my face. I would highly recommend! They were also very careful of our floors, walls and the home itself. Thank you so much!
Genuinely might be one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a business. I want to start off by saying that the two movers that helped me out for the move were fantastic people, and I think they worked very hard. That being said, I think their boss, Terry I believe, set these folks up for failure. They showed up two hours late, from my understanding a truck was down and they were working to remedy the situation. I don’t believe it was the movers fault showing up on time, but it falls on that of the management. The people that eventually got put on the job were more than likely informed last minute. Moving on. They show up and their boss Terry allows them to start the clock (they charge $149 every hour) WHILE the truck wasn’t ready to go, and the paperwork wasn’t done. So, essentially, I’m paying THEM to do paperwork for 30 minutes. Again, this falls on management, because Terry was present on speakerphone this whole time. We finally get to the moving process and there was maybe 4 large items (a bed frame, a dresser, a large couch) 3 medium items (two nightstands, and a medium sized couch, and a few boxes. It took almost 3 hours for them to move it into the truck. I don’t think it was a lack of effort, they probably needed an extra person, which their management failed to provide. Moving on, we get to my new location, they give me the quote. $749 NOT including the $100 deposit, which of course Terry forgot to mention in the final quote (which means this move would’ve been $849.) I ended up asking the mover for her cell phone so I could talk to her manager, Terry. I told him about how I felt about that pricing given the situation.He ended up giving me a slight discount (also didn’t take into account the $100 deposit into it.) Here is the best part. After I hand back the phone, Terry proceeds to tell us ON SPEAKER how sorry he is for how “incompetent” his workers are. I felt so incredibly sorry for those workers. They deserve so much better than that. They did not need their management to say that in front of a customer. I really hope they find a job that VALUES their hard work. They were good people. Their boss needs to take a course on customer service and professionalism. This was so incredibly disappointing and given my personal experience with this company I would highly encourage anybody that is looking for a moving company to stay as far AWAY from this place as possible. UPDATE: I was able told to contact the number provided in the review and they gave me a credit back in return for the issues had. I was assured he was going to take care of this problem, so perhaps your experience will be different from mine.
I had a very disappointing experience with All My Sons Moving. The issues began with scheduling and communication. After my original movers canceled due to weather, I booked All My Sons and was assured reliable service, professional movers, and properly wrapped furniture. The night before the move, I responded to a confirmation text stating I was available, but no one followed up. On the morning of the move, I was informed only after I called to inquire about the time they were going to start the move, that my move had been canceled without notice. Only after I arranged another moving company did All My Sons contact me to say they could complete the move after all. Unfortunately, the move itself did not meet expectations. The crew arrived at the wrong location, did not wrap furniture as promised, and handled items carelessly. Furniture was placed on wet, dirty ground, boxes labeled “fragile” were not treated accordingly, and items were stacked in a way that caused capacity issues, resulting in some belongings being left behind. One mover smoked a cigar while paperwork was being completed. Despite these issues, I still tipped the crew. After unpacking, we discovered damage to multiple items and to the homes involved. This included broken and chipped furniture, deep marks and splintering on a desk, a mattress that was dirty with torn wrapping and a visible shoeprint, and significant damage to a couch with strong sentimental value that cannot be replaced. There was also damage to walls and trim in both homes. Additionally, two bottles of prescription medication went missing during the move. Billing concerns added to the situation. I was charged for labor and fuel that were not used. While a manager later agreed to refund some charges and offered a discount on a future move, I declined due to a lack of confidence in the company. The claims department ultimately offered only the minimum amount required by their insurance, which did not reflect the value or extent of the damage. Overall, this experience fell well below expectations. I would not recommend this company.
Edit: changed 3 star to 5 star review due to excellent follow up customer service and refunded 1.5 hours of labor time. I hired All My Sons for a straightforward one-bedroom move. The movers were friendly, communicated well, arrived promptly on short notice, and handled all of my belongings with great care. I truly appreciated the professionalism and the attention given to my items. However, the pace of the move did not justify the total cost. Despite being a simple first-floor move with everything pre-packed and ready to go, the job took more than twice as long as expected. The loading, transportation, and unloading times were significantly longer than what I had been quoted and anticipated, which made the overall price higher than I feel was reasonable for the amount of work required. To be clear—the service quality was good, and my items were well taken care of. But the efficiency fell short, and for that reason I can’t give a higher rating. If the pricing better reflected the pace of the work, this would easily have been a five-star experience.
