I wrote an excellent review of this company when they first did my paint three years ago. I had my cupboard walls and trim painted by this company. The walls and trim still look great but the cabinet paint started chipping a month after they painted it. I did not realize that it was covered by warranty for two years. Finally, the chipping is so bad now that I called To see if there was some Compromise solution. The price proposed was more than what it cost me to paint originally. I don’t know if it was the quality of the paint or that it wasn’t primed properly, but I would not recommend them for cabinet painting.

We bought a house under the condition that the previous owners would put money in escrow to pay Modern Painting to repaint our windows. I called Modern Painting in April 2025 to schedule a time to get them out to the house. They told me they had to wait until it was warmer out to start the house project. They said they would be the one to call me to schedule a time. I waited, and waited. I called Modern Painting again. This is now August. They said they had to wait until September to start because the house windows contained lead. I was a little shocked to hear this as it was the first time I had heard the windows contained lead. I had not been given any info stating so. I ended the call and after processing what they told me, I called back to ask when they found out the windows contained lead. No answer. I called again. No answer. I have left probably a total of 14-17 voicemails asking for a call back. So has my husband. My escrow company reached out and said the house project had to be finished by September 3rd 2025, otherwise the funds would go back to the previous owners. I cannot get Modern Painting to call us back. I left them a voicemail saying that the project had to be finished by September 3rd, that there was money set aside for them containing the amount they quoted the previous owners. No call back still to this day. It is September 18th. We are working with a different company now.

I have been working with many different contractors doing several projects, and Modern Painting was so awesome to work with! They have amazing communication, prep you for what is next, clean and neat and respectful of my home. The quality of work was incredible and reasonably priced! I highly recommend the Modern Painting team and want to thank them!

Initially things were great, however when we told them the front doors didn't match (one was noticeably lighter than the other) and the garage doors were not fully painted, it all went downhill. Weeks went by with no communication including after Marcos came to see the issues we brought up. I do not recommend this company for the reasons that they do not follow through on their work and the lack of quality. Follow up 12/11/24 - Updated from 1 star to 2 stars. The outside garage doors and inside front doors were repainted however the color on the garages is darker then before. Now the garage doors and outside of the front doors do not match. Also, the paint that got on the inside seals of the garages was never corrected so we have brown paint all over both garage door seals all on sides. Communication went from a 10 to 0 once we started having issues with the work provided.

Let me start off saying that I don’t often give reviews, so when I do, I’m really impressed. Modern Painting, from start to finish, were professional, punctual, and very reasonably priced for the beautiful work they do. I had two painters who showed up on time every day, worked efficiently and meticulously. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day and were very polite. They did such a great job on our home, that I was calling Modern Painting’s office to schedule them to do work on another home we own, before they were even done here. I will continue hiring them for any painting jobs I need to have done. These are people who you can trust to get the job done right and leave you with a ton of pride in your home’s appearance.
