I dropped off a JL subwoofer to be re coned, Paid the $120. up front. That was June of 2025. It is now September of 2025. Buyer beware do not do business with these people. They will not answer the phones or the door.
I own a high-end Unico SE Amplifier that I bought about 15 years ago in Kansas City, Missouri. It recently stopped working with our fine CD player. We now live in a small town in Western Massachusetts. Fortunately, I was able to email the manufacturer in Italy, who said I could contact their distributor in the US, who would refer me to a repair place. I finally got a reference to Audio Elements TechShop in Atlanta. I called. Dan answered the phone in the friendliest and most helpful way. He asked me diagnostic questions, and suggested I do one easy test on our amp, after which he fully explained his preliminary diagnosis, which required him to work on our amp in person. He told me an easy way to have the amp packed and shipped to him directly, and estimated a maximum 2-week repair, including examining and tuning up the entire machine. He observed that as a technician trained and authorized by the Italian company, he would probably have the necessary parts in his shop already. Right on schedule, Dan called me back for permission to do his work at the estimated amount. I paid by phone, and the amp was on my doorstep a few days later in perfect working order, at what I think is a reasonable total cost (including shipping)! What a relief and delight! Frankly, I am in awe of what Dan could do with such a sophisticated piece of technology, made in Italy in the last century. I never imagined how easy it would be in the end to recapture the great pleasure of fine music in our lives! If and when any other piece of our audio equipment shows a defect, my first call will be to Dan in the hope that he is willing and able to work on it.
Korg corp sent me 3 repair shops that might be able to fix my Blackstar amp. Looking at reviews I chose Audio Elements. Talked to Daniel on the phone and right away knew he was the person to take it to. As I’ve seen online Blackstar has an issue with many of its amps. No sound. Yeah, that’s a problem. Daniel said he’s pretty sure he knows what the issue is. Dropped it off on July 2nd, by surprise he called later in the day. It’s fixed! Picked it up on July 4 and it sounds great. A super intelligent, nice guy. Highly recommend!
This review is not based on any work performed and simply customer service and communication. I had been diligently trying to get my stereo serviced in making several calls and leaving voice messages. On one occasion, I was also told I would be contacted to bring the unit in which didn't happen but I didn't hold that against them. But on 12/15 was the last draw for me. I spoke to Daniel on 12/14 and confirmed the unit would be brought today. I had someone come pick up the very heavy and large unit from my home and drive all the way to the shop only for no one to be there. No one answered the phone! A total waste of time and completely unacceptable. Not sure what level of workmanship I could expect especially in this case when the communication is non existent. Thanks Daniel, I didn't expect that and definitely will not be back or calling your shop again. If anyone can refer a RELIABLE stereo shop please let me know.
This is a first for me. I’ve never left a glowing review for somebody I haven’t yet done business with, until now. In helping me to trouble shoot the issues with my beloved piece of vintage electronics equipment, Daniel greatly increased the possibility of a speedy and successful outcome with the repair. Daniel was incredibly courteous and informative, and I can’t wait to have him repair my unit.
