Balanced K9 done an excellent job with our baby Bruno. From day one we didn't know if Bruno would be a good fit with anyone's program, because of his anxiety and aggression. But, Alex and the Balanced K9 Academy staff went above and beyond to correct all of Brunos' issues. When we would receive his progression video's, it just lifted our spirits, to see how much of an approvement he had made. We were first surprised to see Bruno do a turn around, but to just see his progress, made us exceptionally proud and happy to see him turn into a now obedient and happy pet...that we already had fell in love with, but now can truly enjoy our future together. We truly recommend Alex and the Balanced K9 Academy. They are truly professionals that done an excellent job with our fur baby!!!
We took my Pyrenees mix and pitbull mix (2 and 4) for long overdue training. Alec was so great with them. It was evident they gave them structure and affection! They came back different dogs and we got great instruction. They were also available when I needed them quickly over a holiday weekend. Can’t recommend them enough. Will use them in the future for boarding.
As first-time dutch shepherd owners, we thought our puppy was more chill than what he was growing up to be. He was enrolled in the 4 week board-and-train and is a completely different pup! He was able to learn what was expected of him, and then we were able to learn from Alec how to better handle and train him. Alec walked us through being able to better understand Moose and answered all of our questions. We definitely feel much more equipped to raise Moose, and he is an easier to handle dog now.
I can't say enough good things about Alec from Balanced K-9 Academy in Huntsville, AL. My dog, Loki, stayed there for a 4-week boarding training and the transformation has been incredible. Alec went above and beyond my expectations in every way. From the moment we met Alec, it was clear he has a deep understanding and genuine love for dogs. He took the time to understand Loki's specific needs and tailored the training program accordingly. Throughout the 4 weeks, Alec provided regular updates and was always available to answer any questions I had. Alec's expertise and dedication truly shine through in the results. I can’t say enough about the owner Nick and his K9 academy. He is not your cookie cutter teach your dog to sit and roll over and call it good. He REALLY knows dogs and is happy to really work on the real issues with your pup. Our boy Apollo was having aggression and guarding issues and we wouldn’t have known they were based on fear. He helped our boy so much and is really amazing!! He kept Apollo for an extra week without charging a cent more, just to make sure Apollo developed and progressed like he should. I can not recommend him enough!! If you have a pup and want someone who cares and will really pour themselves into helping your dog with the root issues, this is the place to go. I called a lot around the Huntsville area before deciding to try balanced K9. I got a lot of cookie cutter trainers that can teach your dog tricks. Nick was fantastic and really worked for the happiness and health of our dog. I guarantee we will be taking all 4 of our dogs to them!!
