Not a good restaurant. We have been to many Mexican restaurants and this one was one of the worst ones. The service was terrible and the food was not tasty. I would not come back to this place.
Not a very welcoming place to enter. Every time I’ve gone in, no one greets. Ever! They are too busy with paperwork to look up and say hello. The staff spoke nicely to each other though so maybe they don’t prioritize making a customer feel welcomed. I guess I’m old school and like to be acknowledged when I enter a store. A smile and a hello never hurts. I did find warmth, kindness and friendliness at the shops in the Historic Park just down the street from Bazaar del Mundo. I’m looking forward to going back there and skipping Bazaar altogether.
The presentation of high quality arts and crafts is classy and elegant. I collect hand painted ceramic plates, and Bazaar del Mundo has world class examples of many styles. When I’m there, I’m in my happy place!
Fun and colorful! We enjoyed walking in and out of the shops looking at all the stock! It was enjoyable to see all the vibrant colors of the buildings and the merchandise for sale! They have a little bit of everything! After a great meal at the Casa Guadalahara, it was a perfect place to walk throughout! Enjoy and have fun!
My favorite shop of its kind outside Mexico. In fact, this wonderful store sells housewares, art, books, jewelry and clothing from many countries but everything exudes a Mexican vibe. What makes the place really special is how beautifully all the items are curated. You'll find very high quality things and incredibly beautiful as well. The emphasis is on authenticity and craftsmanship. Nothing is dirt cheap but many things are very affordable. They also have sales, like Christmas ornaments right after the holidays. I've always found the sales people to be super nice and helpful. The place is laid out like a mini-mall with separate "shops" specializing in different things. The largest shop is for housewares: linens, bedding, fabrics, ceramics, kitchenwares, etc. Free parking right outside is ample and you're right at Old Town so there's lots of nearby attractions and eateries. Really, Bazaar del Mundo is so lovely and colorful I get a lift just by coming in.
