We've done Puppy K, Obedience, Therapy Dog training, and Rally Obedience at Best Friends. Great instructors and I love that they don't encourage punishment-based training. My dog is always SO happy to go to class. I can't wait to see the new and improved facility coming at the end of the year!!

Signed up for a dog tricks course. The school is in the middle of nowhere, but it's a good space for dogs and lots of room in the parking lot. Teachers are very qualified and they very clearly love dogs. Great place to go.

We’ve taken Puppy K with Amanda and Beginner Obedience with Nancy, and both were amazing experiences! Our Posie girl loved both instructors so much. You can tell how passionate, caring, and experienced the instructors are. Really appreciate how they take the time to help where needed, because they truly care about your successes. We can’t wait to register for our next classes!

We had a great experience doing Puppy K with Sam! Our pup Ellie was extremely nervous during her first class and just sat on my lap the whole time. Sam was great at making Ellie feel comfortable and teaching us how to socialize her so that by the last week, Ellie was having a blast! We learned so much doing this course and it was great to socialize the pups to tons of different things, including umbrellas, vacuums, wheelchairs, and walking on different surfaces. Can’t recommend enough!

We got a gift certificate to enroll Yeti in a beginner’s obedience course for Christmas in December 2023. We ended up getting an open spot for the 8-week session on Thursday nights starting January 11th with Chantal. As Yeti was my first ever dog / puppy that, I found Best Friends to be a great course that helped us learn the best way to train our dog using positive reinforcement techniques! Chantal was a great instructor and she was always willing to answer our questions and give us tips & tricks on how to proof a command. Shortly after he graduated Beginner’s obedience, we enrolled him for the Advanced I obedience 8-week session on Monday nights starting on March 18th with Jancy. As per her suggestion the first class, we purchased him a halti and have found it makes a huge difference in having him pull less and walk better on a leash leash when in public most especially around distractions. Jancy was also a great instructor who gave many useful tips / tricks on how to work on the commends and proof them with distractions both in and outside class. We had such a amazing experience with both classes that we will be looking to enroll Yeti in either Advanced II obedience or Competitive Novice obedience in the Fall. Thank you Best Friends for giving us the tools, confidence and skills to help him stay calm on distracting situations both in and outside class, which has also translated to successful baby gate graduation at home! You have helped us with keeping Yeti calm at home during his adolescence and all the training we have invested in with him had paid off !
