We were super unhappy with our experience. Our dog stayed for one night. The personnel at the desk didn’t seem organized or have any real intake process. We paid extra for photos which we never received. When we came to pick her up, we heard handlers yelling at dogs. It took 10-15 minutes to bring her out to us. Our dog is typically very sociable and friendly, but when we got her back she couldn’t get out of there fast enough. The toy we left with her smelled like urine, which leads me to believe she want taken out for potty breaks as she almost never potties in her crate. When we gave her water at home, she drank like she hadn’t been given water all night (the staff confirmed they did but I don’t know if I trust) and the color of her urine suggested she was dehydrated. We were trialing this facility before boarding her for a week, thank god we didn’t leave her there any longer than a night.
My pup absolutely loves Best Friends—he gets excited every time we arrive and the staff is wonderful. He always comes home happily tired after a great day. Christine has also been an amazing trainer and has my pup ready for his Canine Good Citizen test. Highly recommend both the day care and the training services!
I’ve been taking my dog Bean here for 5 months now and have had a great experience! I can tell he is very comfortable and well cared for. The staff are very kind and great at communicating. Christine especially has been amazing! She’s very attentive and always keeps me informed about Bean. Christine goes above and beyond and is very reliable. She’s the best!
Best Friends has been a true gem in the Chicago area! I began taking my 8 month old puppy, Riley, to Doggy Day Camp for socialization and he changed from a super shy pup to a confident one that plays with dogs of all sizes. I trust in the staff to take care of him and his needs, especially given his young age. Riley also goes for overnight boarding and I always feel safe that he will be taken care of during his stay. Overall, Best Friends has been an amazing find.
