We worked with Amy and her team at BGI from 2017 through the completion of our home in 2022. From start to finish Amy and her team were a dream to work with. She worked hand in hand with our architects during the design stages and then was on point throughout the entire build process dealing with vendors, trades and our builder. Every detail was meticulously planned, discussed and executed. After getting to know us Amy knew pretty much what we wanted without us even saying it. After 3 years of planning and 2 years of construction our dream home was completed and perfect. Over that time Amy became more than just someone we hired to design our home but someone we call a friend. Our home would not have been our home if not for Amy and her team.

Working with BGI Design was an absolute joy, and I can’t recommend them enough. They helped us design every inch of our new home, and the final result blew us away. We went with a modern coastal vibe, and they perfectly captured the laid-back yet elegant feel we wanted. Every room is unique, but somehow the whole house flows beautifully together—it's a true reflection of our style. What stood out the most was how well Amy and Melanie listened to all of our ideas. They really took the time to understand what we were envisioning, and then elevated it in ways we never could have imagined. My favorite room has to be my daughter’s "Breakfast at Tiffany’s" room, where they even found a vintage phone to complete the look—it’s a touch that really makes the space feel special. On top of that, Amy and Melanie made the entire construction process stress-free. They handled everything with such ease and professionalism, keeping us updated and ensuring that every detail was just right. Honestly, I would never consider building a house again without them. They made what could have been a daunting experience truly enjoyable. By the end of the project, they felt like more than just designers—they became new family friends. Best interior designer I have ever worked with. Amy and her team adeptly used technology and plain old common sense to prepare detailed presentations of every aspect of the design for our home. She was quick, clear, responsive and provided invaluable feedback at every step of a clearly laid out multi-step design process. She made it fun!!!! Pricing is straightforward and worth every penny to be able to see the design vision in a cohesive, clear way - right down to grout selection! Highly recommend.

My wife and I have the pleasure of working with BGI Design on our custom build house, and we are very impressed with their work so far. We just finished renovating our game room, study, kitchen, and dining room. It looks great because of Barbara Gilbert and Amy Guess. We had no clue what we wanted, what would work, and how to do it. Barbara came to our home, listened to us talk about our goals and then began to show us in our minds what it could look like. We did not know a contractor but she had a name of an excellent company. Barbara and Amy were knowledgeable, easy to work with, and recognized our budget limitations. One of our difficulties is making choices of anything for the house and Barbara guided us, limiting the decision fatigue along the way. When things got a little stressful, Barbara just kept the vision in front of us. Six weeks later, we have a beautiful kitchen...one we could have never imagined. It is changing our lives. We have Barbara and Amy to thank for holding our hand, guiding our thinking, and putting us into a space beyond our dreams.
