Rafael did a wonderful and expert job repairing two aspects of a grandfather clock 'bonnet' from the 1790s. One was a chipped/ragged top corner, which he made look symmetrical and natural to the other corner. The other was a fix to split/splintered wood damage done to the hinged glass door frame to the clock face that needed repair and strengthening. Both the repairs also exceptionally matched the original wood finish.

I have a dining room table that was desperately in need of some tender loving care after much “abuse” over the past 20 years. Having never done this before, I simply googled “furniture refinishing” and found Rafael. From the moment I contacted Rafael, he was friendly and helpful. After sending him a few photos, he gave me an estimate which was extremely reasonable. He kept in touch with me throughout the entire process, including sending me photos. It was a challenging job for Rafael because he wanted to make sure the table matched the rest of my dining room set (hutch and chairs) of which he had only seen photos. He did a FANTASTIC job! My table looks like new and matches perfectly with the rest of the set! I am beyond thrilled! Rafael takes great pride in his work, and his attention to detail is superb! I would definitely use Rafael’s services again in the future! I highly recommend Rafael!

About 15 years ago, I found this original teak coffee table off of Craigslist for $30 because it was listed wrong and I’ve now seen it on various sites for $2K+. Needless to say, the last couple of years I’ve been trying to find someone to fix it up and thanks to Mark from @upstairsdownstairsantiques - he gave me Rafael’s info and I truly cannot speak highly enough about him. So wildly talented and beyond kind. I’m extremely picky and the things I have, I love. This post is a shoutout to Rafael and below is his contact info for anyone who needs any work done. Given how long it took me to find him, I wanted to share. The best part is he picked it up and dropped it off to me which makes it an effortless process, especially living in Beacon Hill.

Rafael did amazing work on our dining room table and Morris chairs. I couldn't be more pleased with the finished products or the experience of working with Rafael. The dining room table ended up being quite the effort due to the finish that needed to be removed, including from the detailing in the legs, and his work was impeccable.
