I’ve been meaning to leave a review for over a year now. Alisa has been doing my hair since I first arrived in DC and I could not be more happy with the outcome and the experience each time. She gives me exactly what I want (and I can be rather particular!) and the time flies with equal parts chat and relaxation. Very agreeable prices and she always gets me in after work which I really appreciate. I could not want for more and already dread the day I might move away because it’s so hard to find a place with everything right like it is here! Amazing work Bravado! I haven’t said enough about the color job… I have dull dirty blonde hair. Alisa blends and tones my highlights so well that people assume this is my natural hair color. She is an expert with a real talent for color, and as a bonus, is so fun to be around. Thank you!

Marta Ramirez did an amazing job on my updo for my daughter's wedding. She was so sweet and Gia who took my call was also very sweet. I called in a panic b/c another salon had cancelled on me 2 days before the wedding and they were so great and accommodating and worked things out to fit me in. I highly recommend them! Alisa was also so nice and welcoming. Marta, thank you again! I received so many compliments on my hair!

Alisa Obradovac has been cutting and highlighting my hair for years and at multiple salons! To call her a “hair stylist” is to undersell her craft … I think of Alisa as an artist whose medium happens to be hair ♥️ the cuts are amazing and the coloring/highlighting is always just right. Bravado is a convenient and comfortable salon across the street from Eastern Market on Capitol Hill - make an appointment with Alisa; you won’t regret it!!

We came here for my toddler’s first haircut. Our stylist was nice, but I wasn’t thrilled… didn’t wet her hair or cut it very evenly. She criticized my (admittedly amateur) job trimming her bangs three times. The first time it was funny but then it was like… ok I get it, let’s move on. She did a good job distracting my 2 year old by playing Cocomelon on her phone, which I appreciated. But when she was done trimming, she put her hair back into the lopsided, very greasy pigtails she came in with. I wasn’t expecting a perfect coiffure, but I was hoping she’d leave her hair looking better than she went in.
