Training with Henry has been pretty life changing to be honest. Henry is a lovely bloke and a world class PT - I've never been in better shape and I look forward to every single session. The positive impacts on my physical and mental health have been profound. Cannot recommend Henry enough.
I can't recommend Henry enough. I went to him with a knee injury from running and from the moment I contacted him he was absolutely brilliant. He understood that I was looking to get fitter and stronger and over the last 10 months his workouts have helped me do just that. He takes time to explain everything properly and has created some brilliant work outs for me, fitting perfectly into my life as a working mum. I've never felt this strong and it's evident in my improved yoga practice, and the fact that I can pick up my very heavy 4 year old without wincing now! Henry is the best PT I've ever had- he's patient, super friendly and incredibly supportive. He's mega passionate about what he does and most importantly he is very approachable - during those early days where I was dying from working out there was absolutely no judgement from him. The private PT sessions at his gym are great - it's well equipped and you're not surrounded by lots of people which means you can really spend time perfecting your technique and understanding the movements. If you're looking to get stronger in 2026, Henry is your man!
Henry has coached me for a couple of years now in general strength and fitness, and the difference has been incredible. He's helped me improve muscle mass, stability, flexibility and even niggling postural issues I didn't know I had. He's a very knowledgeable and patient teacher, who will push you but never further than you're comfortable with. With his guidance I've gone from struggling to lift an empty bar to a 100kg squat and 130kg deadlift; without rushing, as he places a strong emphasis on good technique and safety. My shoulder, hip, knee and ankle mobility have all improved and I stand much straighter. Overall, thoroughly recommend.
Expert instruction tailored to your needs by an experienced coach. Henry is very knowledgeable and has helped me develop in both olympic lifts and strongman events. These are interesting, fun and challenging workouts which you can't do properly without having knowledgeable instructor and I found this avenue of training really suited my preference and needs. Highly recommend whether you are complete beginner or if you are gym savvy but want to broaden out your routine with something different.
I truly can’t recommend Henry at Bristol Personal Trainer enough! He’s by far the best personal trainer I’ve come across. Henry is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate across the board around fitness, sport-specific training, injury rehab, recovery and nutrition, and you feel that immediately. Henry is so friendly and approachable, and makes me feel totally assured that you're in an absolutely judgment free zone with him. He takes the time to get to know you, including your goals, concerns and any injuries you have, and uses that to write a programme totally from scratch. Absolutely no cookie cutter workouts (unlike most of the other trainers I have used in the past). He takes the time to answer any questions, and explain exactly what it is you're doing, how to do it safely, how it should feel, and how it supports your personal goals. I’ve had several trainers in the past, but honestly none even come close to having Henry's level of expertise, care or attention to detail. He's a really fun, motivational person to be around and will push you just the right amount! The gym is brilliantly equipped, and you can tell a huge amount of pride and care has gone into building it. If you want to get stronger, more confident in your body, and genuinely excited about training, I can't recommend Bristol Personal Trainer highly enough.
