You’d think with the numerous reviews calling out instructors bullying their students that BDC would actually do something about it… if you have autism, don’t come here. Even if you dance well. They will do their best to make you cry in front of other adults.

This studio is AWESOME! I reached out to them because my 12 year old daughter really wanted to take a dance class while we were in NYC. The staff responded immediately and were extremely helpful and accommodating. When we arrived for the class, the front desk attendant was warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home. They have a plethora of classes to choose from, but My daughter decided to try a tap class with Dre. While it was a bit above her level, they let her give it a go. She absolutely loved it! Dre was so engaging, energizing, and positive, I wanted to jump in and tap myself! Everyone in the class was so encouraging and talented and helped my daughter rise to the occasion. Thank you BDC! We will definitely be back! :)

Great drop in class experience. Great variety and availability to train in NYC when visiting or if you live here.

Place is great and classes always fun. I was going to take a vogue class with Jason Rodriguez but decided not because of his recent posts on Instagram. While everyone is entitled to free speech, I find it disappointing that one of your instructors thought that flipping off a monument to fallen soldiers and sailors was somehow funny or needed to be posted. Yes, speak out again the actions of our country but to disrespect soldiers and sailors (no matter the conflict), is deplorable. This is just a cry for attention or just ignorance. Do better Jason. I hope that BBC agrees. Attached is the screenshot.

Have had mostly good experiences here, with a couple rough ones. Some of the teachers are very kind and considerate, but there was one time where I went to a beginning jumps and turns class, and most of the people there were professional dancers; I asked a question about a piece of choreography, and the teacher said, in front of everyone, “if this is hard for you then dance may not be for you.” I left and reported her immediately. BDC apologized for her behavior and credited me so I give it more stars for them taking accountability and rectifying the situation. There can be a problem with overcrowding and I wish teachers would explain spacing to newbies so that everyone has space and safety.
