Our review is overdue…we worked with Elizabeth to update our Orinda home this past year. This was our first time working with a designer, and we weren't sure what to expect. Well, we made the right choice. We didn't have a clear vision when we started, but Elizabeth brought our ideas to life. She guided us through a master bathroom expansion and renovation, plus paint selection, flooring, tile, and lighting throughout the house. Elizabeth's selections are high quality. She doesn't recommend standard upgrades. If you read Architectural Digest or browse Pinterest, you'll love working with her. We're happy with the results and recommend her work.

We had an excellent experience working with Elizabeth at CALAFIA! We moved into a new home during the pandemic, and it really needed some decorating TLC, but my husband and I are just too busy with our jobs to take the time to search for the perfect furniture. Elizabeth was a godsend--she has a natural talent for envisioning a space and made our living room and den look even better than we could have hoped. She worked within the style of our streamline moderne home to pick pieces that coalesced perfectly with the existing architecture and are kid-friendly. She even collaborated with a contractor and architect to design bespoke built-in bookshelves. Everyone who visits is very impressed! Elizabeth also worked within our budget, and showed us a nice range of options without overwhelming us. We're so relieved to have this major project done, and are now dreaming of redecorating the guest room.

Not only does Elizabeth have a exquisite eye for fresh, beautiful yet family friendly design, she is a breeze to work with. Elizabeth strikes the perfect balance of integrating our preferences but also sharing her expertise and instinct. The end result far exceeded my expectation on all levels - design, budget and ease of collaboration. I will definitely use Calafia next time I have a project! Oh and she is a trained artist with gorgeous art! A wonderful bonus.
