Pro shop was friendly and accommodating. Course design was just ok to me. You could tell that a couple of holes were wedged in the property line (specifically short par 5 on the front is right up next to apartment complex), but whatever. Fairways were thin (it was winter time) and greens were mediocre. Not much grass at all on some of them. Driving range setup is AWESOME with shot tracers on every bay. The process of having to get the range balls out of a faulty machine (and they know it doesn’t work right based on their reaction) is RIDICULOUSLY dumb. Got paired with a member. Dude was the least friendly golfer I’ve ever met in 30 years of golfing. That aside, it’s definitely not worth just over $100. Won’t return.
This so called “wedding venue” was a horrible experience. It was nice having a ceremony by the waterfall, however the guest was forced to wait as our “helper” Ben was nowhere to be found, they assigned us this person for help and he wasn’t so much helpful. Then we expected him to stay all day as they informed us and this was not the case they left another women whom the bride nor the MOH met, and she was rude saying she “has no control she is not the same entity as Ben.” Whatever that means, I simply told her the bride requested nobody grab dessert until scheduled time and she told me “it’s hard to do with only two servers” sooo for one of you hired 2 “servers” who didn’t serve the food but picked up plates then why didn’t the venue think that a 500 people party would only need “2 servers” I had to asked that women 4 different times to help control the dessert table and finally she got annoyed and rudely asked if she should put a closed sign and I again informed her that if people grabbed them that was what we did not want. She then rudely suggested her standing that after I asked her 3 times to do it, she finally decided to make it her idea in the worst possible way. Although the ceremony was hosted in a beautiful spot, this definitely was not worth it. And this was the end of it. The bridal suite had no lights, and our “make up mirrors” didn’t even work, they didn’t have plugs for them. So a dark bridal room with no lights was a challenge for all the women who attempts to do make up in there. As they served us discolored looking meat and it tasted funny they proceeded to give us different food but then asked “if the groomsmen will eat it?” Like idk it was discolored and tasted nasty…. The locked for the bridal suite was broken, worked only up until after the ceremony but even then was giving us a very hard time inputting the code to unlock. It’s not worth spending the money for half butt wedding venue. Truly think of only getting venue if you have an actual coordinator for your wedding because you’ll want them to take care of all the stress this venue WILL provide.
As a professional golf entertainer and 5 time Guinness World record holder for swinging the world's longest golf clubs in history. I travel around the state of Texas seeing many different golf courses. I love come to San Antonio especially the Canyon Springs Golf Club with an amazing facility and a really great pro shop staff. I love doing events here in their piece of paradise. The golf shop operations are always on their game and helping out in many different ways keeping the event flowing smooth and with minimal issues. I hope you enjoy your experience at Canyon Springs Golf Club.
Beautiful venue, loved the rustic vibe & the waterfall was stunning! I had photographed a wedding here and the photos were stunning. I truly loved the outdoor part of the venue such beautiful scenery.
(Photos by Marissa Simon Photography) Canyon Springs was amazing! Caitlin Flores, our Private Events Coordinator, was awesome! We were planning the wedding from out of state and she was always fast with communication and flexible with meeting schedules. The venue was incredible, and definitely a hidden gem. I visited 13 wedding venues in central Texas area, and this was by far the most affordable venue with catering packages included. Keep in mind that this venue restricts all food, snacks, drinks to their in house catering service only. But the food and drinks were spectacular! We had family from out of state comment on how yummy everything was! We also were given a complementary round of golf with our wedding package which my parents loved! The waterfall backdrop is extremely beautiful and they're venue offers microphone/Sound system so everyone can hear the ceremony. Plenty of shade during the hot summer months and wedding guests loved getting to be chauffeured by golf carts to the ceremony site. Cannot recommend this venue enough!
