I've been bringing my 2 cats and dog here for preventative care for about 2 years. All of the staff is wonderful. One of my cats is extremely fearful of going to the vet but everyone knows how to handle her in a way that's safe for everyone and comfortable for her- when she's been sedated for labwork the LVTs have done a wonderful job monitoring her until she's ready to go home. Today was our first time seeing Dr. Matthews and Han Solo absolutely loved her and all of the treats!
Our two cats have been patients at Cary Street Veterinary Hospital since they were 3 months old. They are now 13-1/2 years old and we have been so happy with the medical care and the genuine caring exhibited by every member of the team. We feel fortunate to have them taking care of our girls.
Dr. Bolling with our intro visit and Emma with our victory visit were both wonderful. They took a lot of time listening to our problems and were kind and thoughtful helping us work towards solutions with our dog who has had trouble going to the vet in the past. Love it here! Update: Our dog came down with sudden severe stomach issues and Aaida responded right away. She got the answers we needed, was caring and calmed my fears. Best service at a vet I’ve ever had.
I can't recommend Cary Street Veterinary Hospital's Rehabilitation Team enough. My senior pug was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy and I was advised by his neurologist to seek physical therapy to maintain his mobility for as long as possible. I made an appointment for a consult with Kim where she evaluated my dog and walked me through treatment options. From there, I brought my dog to see Kim and Virginia twice a month for over a year. The care my dog received was exceptional. They catered to his specific needs, gave him breaks when he needed, and kept me up to date on his progress. Unfortunately for my pup, his diagnosis was terminal, and he passed August of this year at the old age of 14. I strongly believe the therapy he received at Cary Street prolonged his quality of life. They not only kept him strong and active, but when his mobility began to decline, they advised me on various mobility aids to help manage his care at home. Kim and Virginia cared for my dog deeply, which I could see in the work they did with him. They consoled me when it became clear it was time to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to my sweet boy and spoiled him with lots of special snacks at his final appointment. They know their stuff, and they take the time to get to know their patients, which makes all the difference. If you're seeking rehab services for your pup, definitely check out Cary Street Veterinary Hospital. It's clear they love what they do and all the animals in their care. I'm so grateful for everything their team does, and my pug was grateful for all the cheerios he got along the way.
Everything- Dr. Matthews listens to and addresses all of my concerns. Her honesty and forthrightness are always appreciated, as (of course) are her skills, experience and expertise. Her staff have always been patient and accommodating of my girls and their special needs. Very happy with Dr. Matthews and her team.
