The meditation here is still and silent. It's a legitimate place to learn and practice. The leaders are experienced caring people, and the community is friendly and diverse. I started my meditation journey at the CZC by taking the 'Intro to Meditation' workshop that they have each month, and later I attended weekly sessions. At first, I noticed the 'traditional stuff' like chanting and art on the walls, but soon I felt comfortable and home. CZC has meditation practices several days a week, yoga, a book club, and more.

Comfortable and very friendly Zen Center, recently relocated into a nicely rehabbed storefront. Very welcoming and a great place to satisfy your curiosity about Zen Buddhist practice by attending a beginner's class. For the more experienced practitioner, there are monthly dharma talks and individual dokusan interviews to help sustain your practice, along with weekly online and in-person meditation. I've been meditating there for a number of years and have never had a bad experience. Please see the Cincinnati Zen Center website for more information.
