We had such a lovely time during our stay at the Cliff Crest Bed and Breakfast. It captures all the quaint charm and warmth you could hope for when reserving a B&B. The owner and host, Adriana, was wonderfully accommodating, hospitable, and just a bright presence all around. Our room, The Empire Room, was comfortable and a joy to come back to after our days out and about. We also appreciated the fresh breakfasts and the optimal location, which was an easy walk to the beach. If you’re seeking a unique stay in Santa Cruz where you feel welcomed, this is absolutely it.

Adriana and Constantin were such gracious, friendly, and wonderful hosts. I stayed there with my fiancé this last weekend. On the way to Santa Cruz, our car broke down and we called to cancel and they were kind enough to offer us a rain check on our stay. We ended up making it (albeit, with a different car and many hours later than we originally anticipated) and Adriana stayed up until almost 11pm to get us checked in and settled! The room we stayed in (the apricot room) was well appointed and comfortable. Plenty of pillows and blankets with our own private bathroom with good water pressure and hot water I’ll add. I noticed one of the watercolor paintings in the room was signed by Adriana so the next morning when I went down for coffee and was greeted by her, I asked her about it. Turns out she’s an INCREDIBLE artist with paintings and sculptures throughout the property. It was treat to talk to her about her art! That morning Adriana and Constantin were hosting a celebration for the Inn and were kind enough to offer us to partake in the feast. Unfortunately we had to leave that morning! We will definitely be coming back to stay at Cliff Crest!

I stayed here with my fiancé on a short trip to Santa Cruz this past weekend. Adriana and Constantin were very accommodating, welcoming, and friendly. Adriana is a wonderful artist, and you can see her paintings and even a beautiful sculpture throughout the property. The house is in a great location close to the boardwalk, but still in an extremely quiet neighborhood. We had private off-street parking. Our room had its own private bathroom and plenty of blankets and pillows. The space was clean and the vibe was cheery. We felt welcomed and at home in the space. Adriana and Constantin were hosting a special celebration and invited us, but unfortunately we had to head back to Los Angeles. Would highly recommend Cliff Crest Inn for anyone looking for a cozy place to stay at a very reasonable rate. 5+ stars!!

This is a magical little gem that will fell like your home for the weekend. We were greeted by the owner in the evening who showed us her artwork that adorns the little inn and then walked upstairs to our cute room. Highlights: Lovely views, very quiet, in an old Victorian home. Walk down one flight of stairs and she’ll have breakfast ready for you in a few minutes as well as fresh persimmons picked from the garden. You can also walk to the boardwalk and the beach in 5 minites. This place is a great stop over for a weekend. Just don’t come expecting technology and new TVs, etc. It’s lovely and just what you need to relax.

I will start by saying we will definitely go back when in S.C. Adriana met us as soon as we arrived. She helped us with our bags and got us checked in. She showed us our room and made sure we were happy. Adriana went on to explain some of the history of the house and the area. Later we met Constantin and he gave us suggestions on where to go for food and entertainment. We returned to our room later that night. Our room had been turned down, curtains closed and prepped for us. In the morning we woke to a great home cooked breakfast with fresh fruits, eggs, french toast, coffee and orange juice. Adriana made sure we had enough food. We ate breakfast while looking out into the yard shaded by redwood trees. This is truly a unique experience. You won't find service like this even at those expensive hotels. The house is a historic landmark, so don't expect luxury. We felt welcomed and we're treated like family, not just guests. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and have tons of history in them. They are filled with antiques and Adriana's artwork. The beds were comfortable. If you are tired of being dissapointed by over priced hotels then try something different. You won't be disappointed.
