Base 5 exceeded all expectations. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and clear communication made the entire experience seamless from start to finish. The team was punctual, organized, and genuinely cared about delivering top-quality results. Every step of the process was handled efficiently and transparently. I’m extremely happy with the outcome and would confidently recommend Base 5 to anyone looking for reliable, high-standard service. Five stars well-deserved!
Thanks front desk Wanny to help me find my lost gear, really appreciate it! Highly recommend this gym, they have both bouldering and top rope, the trails are diversified and slightly harder than Coquitlam’s climb base 5
This gym is not my favourite, because no showers, and even a changing room available. Every walls and environments are allocated to climbing and no sitting and resting area is accessible. Safety is a matter, but a few corridors don’t have vision and it’s absolutely dangerous. Working time is limited during the weekdays in the mornings and the daily pass is expensive instead to other competitors. The employee had great behaviour and professionally managed the gym.
The gym space was very small and it smelled extremely bad. The landing mat wasn’t made of foam but rather something like a blanket, which was very dirty and seemed like it hadn’t been washed for years. Worst of all, the gym didn’t have showers. It was full of kids under 8 years old, which was very dangerous because you constantly had to be careful not to land on a kid when falling. Unfortunately, the adult and children’s times weren’t separated, and the kids were behaving as if they were at an amusement park."
The gym is great. Lots of cool features in the walls and fun cracks. They also had a cool dry tooling workshop on tonight! However, I work contract work across the country and I’ve been to a lot of different climbing gyms, also worked at a couple and haven’t had this experience before. Guy working tonight with long black hair started shutting everything down 20 mins before the gym was supposed to close. Told everyone to finish the climb they were on and leave. Another person told me he usually does this! I stuck around and at 9:45 he told me he was shutting down the mats and that I couldn’t climb anymore. I didn’t listen, but it was still lame. He even started collecting my stuff off the floor and I had to ask a couple times for my water bottle back. Very unfriendly. Lights in the gym were shut off at 9:55, maybe earlier, can’t quite remember. Not cool. I understand wanting to go home and getting people on the move, but not that early… pretty much everyone else had left when he first asked, good on them I guess but I paid for a day pass, wanted my moneys worth and felt rushed. Still left the building a few minutes early too. Otherwise, it’s an awesome gym!
