We came for dinner last night for a small bday dinner. We were blown away by the food. We ordered bread with homemade butter and smoked baba ganoush to start with. Bread was warm and so soft with the best crust. The baba ganoush was spicy, Smokey and silky smooth. We then ordered rump steak and could not believe how well seasoned and tender it was. It was brilliantly charred on the outside. I ordered the chimichurri sauce to go with it which was amazing and a side of the wagyu fat potatoes which were also very nice. We will definitely be back again ! Thank you for a wonderful meal and excellent service.

We had a wonderful dinner at Coast. We did the tasting menu with matching wines. We are very impressed with both of these. We saw a lot of other guests have a steak of different cuts and they were all cooked exceptionally well. our waiter was very knowledgeable and really lovely for a chat.

From the moment we arrived, the experience unfortunately felt off — to the point where we almost walked out before even being seated. The waiter chose to answer a phone call instead of greeting or seating us, which really set the tone. I’ve always believed that in-house guests should be prioritised, and this instantly made us feel like an afterthought rather than valued diners. When we were finally seated, it was in a loud, bistro-style section that had none of the “date night” atmosphere we’d booked for - despite specifically tagging it in our reservation. We politely asked to be moved to the more intimate area we dined in during our previous visit (which is what brought us back), but were told no without any attempt to accommodate. It definitely dampened the mood, especially considering we usually spend $500+ on an evening out and were genuinely looking forward to this night. We still decided to stay and make the most of it, but more issues followed. Our starter arrived before our drinks - even though the waiter assured us both would come out together. Then, because everything was ordered at once, our mains were also underway. We ordered two steaks medium, were told it would be around a 45-minute wait (which we appreciated and understood), but when they arrived, both were almost rare. They had to be sent back to be cooked further, and while the second attempt was better, they ended up slightly overcooked. It just felt like a night of constant small letdowns that added up to a very disappointing experience compared to our last visit - which was exceptional. This time, nothing matched the standard we were expecting, especially for what we spend when we dine out. We genuinely loved the restaurant before and were excited to return, but this visit has made us unsure if we will. Hopefully management takes this feedback seriously, because we’d really like to believe our first visit wasn’t just a one-off.

The first time we came here, it was not great. Months later, possibly even a year later. We came back and it was amazing this time around. Husband and I loved it. Food was 1000 times better. Possibly change in chef. Amazing steak we will come back again

My favourite part of my first time at this restaurant was the service by Jodie. It was literally fantastic detailed polite, intimate responsive and was great energy. The food of course was fantastic. She made sure we ordered the right dishes that go together as well as a wine to go with it and then end it with a fantastic cocktail and a smile on her face. Yes the venue is beautiful. The food is good but what makes a place is a service and Jodie deserves all the praise she gets! Zee is a fantastic bartender pays attention to detail respectful funny and entertaining also makes amazing drinks However the manager (Megan I believe) is super rude, unfriendly and basically kicked us out , even though we hadn’t finished our drinks - there is such a thing to do it gracefully .. and another waiter we had (Colombian) rude as , when I asked about the menu suggestions etc He really couldn’t be bothered helping us
