The machine selection here is actually very good, and they have calibrated plates for both powerlifting and Olympic lifting. The racks are decent (popular brands), though they’re not in the best shape; that’s the main reason I joined. Unfortunately, the platforms aren’t great, and the plate situation is frustrating. Many plates are mismatched, and there’s often a shortage outside of the powerlifting area, which makes training less efficient than it should be. Management is what really hurts the experience. Rules seem to change without being clearly documented, and enforcement feels inconsistent and informal. Communication is poor; emails go unanswered, while “policies” get enforced without clear explanation. It doesn’t feel professional or applied evenly across members. What really crossed the line for me was having to walk through a manager’s vape cloud in the lobby while leaving the gym. Members shouldn’t be exposed to secondhand vapor inside a fitness facility. The gym has potential because of its equipment selection, but unclear policies, poor communication, and management practices make it hard to recommend. UPDATE: The owner reached out after this review, and I want to give credit where it's due. It's clear he genuinely wants to build a gym for all lifters and is actively working to improve the experience. The vaping in the lobby has been addressed, and management discretion, which was the root of most of the issues I raised, has been reined in. The equipment selection remains the gym's biggest strength, with calibrated plates for both powerlifting and Olympic lifting and a solid machine selection, though almost entirely older-school brands. I'd love to see some premium additions like Watson, Newtech, or Gymleco to round things out. Some classic machines are excellent; others less so. One policy worth flagging: there are Olympic platforms, but members aren't allowed to use the Olympic plates on them. The Olympic plates are currently overflowing the weight trees in the powerlifting area, so moving some of them to the platforms and racks in the leg room would alleviate the plate shortage and finally give Olympic lifters a proper space to train their discipline. A few extra sets of 100lb plates dedicated to that area would help a lot too. Overall, the trajectory is positive. The owner's responsiveness and intent are genuine, and with continued improvements to equipment access and policy, this gym could be a great option for serious lifters. It's been open for a year now and they continue to improve week by week. I gave it 3 starts for now but I hope to revisit this review in a few months to give it 4 stars
