Best gym ive ever been to for beginners. Some martial arts gyms and especially brazillian jujitsu (bjj) gym have a real intense man-culture that doesnt leave room for women or children and can push away people interested in trying new martial arts. Concepcion is totally different however, I've brought friends, my girlfriend, my mom and aunt to come visit and everyone is greeted so warmly by the students and instructors. This warmth comes from the top down from Coach Louie being such an approachable and helpful instructor. If you or your child is interested in trying martial arts this is the place to go. If you're an adult and dont mind a little more competitive sparring, there are still plenty of people here who are more than willing to train hard. If youre not sure come in and ask some questions, there is a free trial pass to see things first hand

Excellent place to train! Clean facilities and knowledgeable, patient, motivating leadership. Our kids enjoy coming here and learn values beyond martial arts training. Lots of older, experienced student volunteers to help newer students, and you can definitely feel strength of community. Highly recommend!

I just wanted to share how much we love being part of Team Cama. It's such a fantastic martial arts community! The training is great, and the atmosphere is incredibly supportive. We always feel welcomed there.

Our family can’t say enough great things about the Concepcion Academy of Martial Arts! My son has been training here since 2017 when he was 4 years old, and it’s truly become a second home for us. Mr. Louie and the instructors are not only highly skilled but also incredibly supportive and encouraging with students of all ages. Thanks to their guidance and mentorship, my son became the school’s first junior black belt in 2023—an accomplishment that means so much to him and our entire family. I also train kickboxing here, and the adult program is just as fantastic. Whether you're looking to improve fitness, learn self-defense, or just challenge yourself in a positive environment, this school delivers. The community is welcoming, the instruction is top-notch, and the atmosphere is always respectful and motivating. Highly recommended for families and individuals alike. We’re so grateful to be part of this amazing martial arts family!

Been coming here for roughly 10 years, started off with kickboxing and then got into Brazilian jiu jistu What stood out to me from this academy as to others was the family friendly atmosphere and the friendly personalities from everyone. This isn't an ego, toxic , aggressive academy. Everyone here is wanting to help out each other and learn. no one is to busy to lend a hand. You get alot of encouragement from the instructors. I would HIGHLY recommend this academy.
