NOT foreigner friendly ☹️ Date and time of incident: Saturday 8 November around 12:30PM. I’d like to start by disclosing that before posting this review, I sent a message to management via their website. Unfortunately, my email went unanswered, which is why I’ve decided to leave this review to raise awareness for other international visitors, as this establishment doesn’t appear to be very welcoming to foreigners. I drove to the bakery and noticed that entering with my car was rather inefficient. There was a long queue of cars waiting to get in, and a parking attendant was at his hut, approaching cars entering via the entrance. There are signs at the top indicating parking rates. I mentioned that I was going into the bakery, and the attendant spoke very quickly, instructing me to “park behind the fence.” I eventually parked where he indicated, only to realise it was an apartment car park. I then walked over, approached the attendant with a smile, and asked for clarification. The attendant immediately became aggressive, asking in a belittling manner, “Do you not understand English?” He also said, “You need to listen,” while pointing to his ear. All I was doing was trying to ensure I was following the parking rules and asking him for a bit of clarification. His response was not at all helpful. I then explained, “Sir, I’m just trying to ask for clarification. I’m not trying to piss you off mate” and stepped back with my hands raised. For context, I’ve lived in Australia all my life and have only been in the US for a few months. My English is perfectly fine, but my Aussie accent can sometimes be difficult for others to understand, though I’ve made an effort to adjust it as much as possible. It probably confused and angered the individual even more that I am a person of colour with an Aussie accent. I then spoke to one of the ladies in the bakery about the issue. She was polite and apologised, assuring me that she would inform management about it. I don’t think it’s fair to give the place one star just based on one poor interaction with an individual who may have been prejudiced. Not everyone is perfect, and mistakes do happen in business. What disappointed me most, however, was that my email was completely ignored. I’ve received no assurance that the individual involved has undergone any kind of retraining. Staff who interact with customers should not display any prejudices, full stop.

This is definitely a fun place to try and check out. I tried the chicken parmesan and my son had pizza.$17 for a small cutlet of chicken and some subpar penne. The pizza was really good $6.00 a slice. We went downstairs for some pastries, the tiramisu was fantastic 🤩 and my son had a great donut. the market is fantastic to look at too.

Enjoyed the big open space. Lots of seatings. Free parking for downtown. Overall food was good. I especially like their carrot cake. It was moist and the frosting was perfect.

We went to Cossetta's for my friend's birthday dinner and everything was AMAZING!! The croutons on the caesar salad were the best I've ever had! The lasagna was phenomenal! The birthday girl LOVES their mostaccioli!! Don't even get me started on their deserts!! Love the ambiance! One of St Paul's best in my opinion!
