Moved into the neighborhood recently and Dark Side of the Moo has quickly become a go-to for us. The food is delicious with lots of options, and when we make a special request, they always follow through (which anyone with dietary restrictions knows is not always a given). It helps that the music in the shop is great as well.

Been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got the chance - definitely positive experience. Had a great conversation with the owner, Tyrone. He recommended the Bison Yak burger which was absolutely phenomenal. Very well cooked and flavorful. Great food with great customer service - can’t wait to try other things in the menu!

I am so surprised by this place! I did not expect it to be this good. I got the Yak burger and got the medium rare patty (which as you might know is such a rare thing to get exactly what you asked for lol). Coleslaw salad was so good! No mayo, but it tastes amazing and got me back to childhood memories (Slavic sauerkraut flavor). 10/10 would definitely go back No pics since we ate so fast

I have witnessed a miracle wrapped in a perfect double stacked burger with a side of truffle fries. Moo. Woof! Wow! I used to sling burgers on the road and have seen the amazing styles and definition of burgers. And this place defines Jersey city in a bun. Locals stated they’ve eaten there for ten years. And the master behind it in a mad man of flavor and exotic meats

We were visiting from Philly for a Scout meeting and did a Google search for dinner before our event. Dark Side of the Moo came up and my son asked to go. We walked into this eccentrically decorated restaurant with a rubber alligator swinging on a spoon and stuffed furry animal heads smiling down on us. We loved it. My son got the pulled pork Mac & cheese and I got the lobster empanada. We split tater tots. Everything was soooo good and came out quick. Great place for quality food fast in Jersey City! We’d come back to try the exotic dishes like wild boar tacos and camel sliders, but for our first time the pulled pork was perfect!
