EDIT: Reposting because I believe it was removed, but it needs to be heard. I hired them to clean my dryer vent ducts. The tech showed up and said that my vents needed a “deep chemical clean” which would be a $1500 charge. Way above market price for this service. He also said I needed a new flex hose. He then told me after doing the cleaning that I should replace all of the hoses which would be another $1300 (why wouldn’t he have suggested that BEFORE doing the cleaning?). All in, I was charged over $1500 and after careful inspection and resuming use of my dryer, I’ve had nonstop issues. There was a layer of dust and dirt all over my appliances and floor, it didn’t appear much cleaning was attempted. The new hose was not sealed properly, made a whistling sound when the dryer was on, was getting lint all over inside and outside the dryer and was leaking condensation. Our shield outside was also broken and the piece left on the ground. I called the same day the service was done to address these issues and I asked for a refund. I kept being given the run around and could not get anyone to provide a resolution. I finally got a message from a manager who offered to send out another tech, but truthfully I did not trust them at this point. When I asked again for a refund, she responded she’d contact me after speaking with the tech. Within minutes, the tech called me, raising his voice and arguing with me about the work he did. Unprofessional and rude. I called the manager again to talk about this and requested compensation for the terrible experience and poor quality service. She did not offer anything at that moment, and just said she would call me on Friday (the service was on a Tuesday). I did not receive a call when she said she would. At that point, I had already made several calls to the company before the holiday to resolve this and had had enough. I filed a chargeback dispute with my bank. Since I was still having issues, I had someone else come to fully replace them, only to find that all the ducts were still very much blocked (see photos). It appeared little to no cleaning had actually been done. Only once I filed the dispute and reported my complaints publicly did they adamantly try to call me and offer me a refund. A different manager called and offered a refund, but ONLY contingent on if I signed a contract agreeing to cancel the dispute and remove all complaints and reviews. It would also prevent me from posting about it in the future. I believe no reputable, legitimate company would offer a refund with these conditions when they are responsible for providing unacceptable, negligent service. The invoice I received after payment also showed a completely different company name and contact information. When I asked about this, the manager told me Delta Clean Air was “overbooked” when they scheduled my service so they hired a subcontractor instead. The bank dispute lasted for around a month with back and forth. Because I declined the refund on their terms, they challenged my dispute further dragging along the process. Luckily, the dispute was eventually decided in my favor. Several red flags with this company!
Delta Clean Air was the greatest investment I’ve made so far, very professional in their work, they put your satisfaction first and the price was very affordable.
This company is a total scam; stay far away! I had hired them to come out and clean our vents ahead of the winter season. The technician came out, walked around the house, and quoted me on the spot - it seemed expensive (well over $1K), but I was in the middle of work meetings and just said to go with it. However, unlike what Massachusetts law requires, the technician never actually had me view or sign the quote ahead of time. (Actually, when I called to book the appointment, the woman who answered said that they do the work same-day - further proving they don't send quotes ahead of work being completed, regardless of price). After the technician left and I had time to digest the breakdown of costs (which he sent after the fact), I asked for more information on the antimicrobial solution used, and I asked for photos of before and after pictures of my vents and the HVAC entry they claimed they did for further cleaning. None of that was provided, aside from a few bogus screenshots of random dirty vents (that were not mine). Finally, the technician and I had talked on-site about not needing to clean the return vents, but the receipt thereafter showed he did a "deep clean" of all of them. When I called the company phone number (on their website) to ask for a refund, it was only the technician who called me back to tell me "I forgot" everything we had talked about. This company does not deserve your business.
They did a good job with the dryer vent cleaning. This was an easy first-floor job. They charged $300 for a 20-minute job, added $14 to pay with credit card, and then asked for a tip on top of it. You can get better value elsewhere. It seems they contract out the jobs to others. You probably need to negotiate with the guy who shows up or state your price when you schedule the appointment.
I didn't actually get the service because of the cost and the hard upsell from Mike, who was nice, but too aggressive. I have cleaned the dryer duct many times and was just looking for a break due to some ill health and because two years had passed since I had done it. I spent more time talking to him than it took me to do the job myself after he left including pulling the back off the dryer and vacuuming it out, including ensuring the heating element wasn't dirty (which they don't do, per their site they just vacuum out the lint trap). He quoted $99 for the first four feet then $10/foot after. For the ~20 feet that came to $400 which is just ridiculous for the provided service...running a rotating brush down a duct and only vacuuming out the lint trap. He was pushing hard that my UL listed flexible foil duct that is less than half the 10' was going to burn my house down (it's been in place for a dozen years at least) and quoted $1400 to add 8' of galvanized 4" duct. I agreed that it was an improvement that I had planned but I told him would be less than $100 and take me maybe fifteen minutes to install (I priced it out afterwards. It was $45 for two 4' x 4" lengths and $15 for a 45-degree elbow). A good rule of thumb is that anytime a job is more than 3X the parts you should question the quote and this came in at 30X! Really? And he wanted a $1000 deposit! NEVER pay a deposit for an essentially labor only job. NEVER. Cleaning was double what was suggested when I googled it and all the pressure was more stress than it was worth. I don't know whether there was some sort of creative upcharge because he came out on a snowy Sunday? In any case, I can't recommend Delta. I have flipped houses and managed projects for decades. I refused to do business with him and he kept pushing all the way out the door. I can't imagine recommending Delta to a neophyte or the elderly. Just awful.
