My boyfriend often takes his dog here for daycare & grooming. Scotty absolutely loses his mind when we get close to Downtown Hound; He has made best friends and always has a great time getting his copious amount of energy out. They are great with Scotty and always treat him well. They’ve even accommodated him staying overnight & allowed him to stay with one of his besties since Scotty tends to be anxious when left alone. Great place, great people & great price!
I boarded my 3 dogs there for a couple nights for the 1st time and they did such a good job with my dogs! One of my dogs is old and has a lot of health issues and they made sure to txt me with an update on how they were, giving me peace of mind! They also gave them each a cookie in their bag which was such a nice surprise for them! Will definitely go back!
This place is amazingly flexible and understanding!! Max is a sweet dog but when it comes to socializing, he can be very cautious and not openly friendly with other dogs. This type of behavior made it a true challenge to find a place that would actually accommodate him and his needs for space and privacy. While discarding several other places in Omaha, I found Downtown Hound, and they agreed to take him in!! I’ve left Max with them several times now, and everytime we pick up Max, he’s happy and relaxed. He doesn’t even hesitate to go with the employees for the drop off time. I really love how they don’t discriminate dogs just because they don’t get along with other dogs. Forever my favorite dog boarding place!!
We were in town for a couple days and they were super accommodating. Our dog went to daycare twice and had a kennel bath on the last day. It was perfect! He was happy and so were we!
We not only lived it, but our fur babes did too. Lots of playing, and lots of naps. As a doggie dad i always strive to find an affordable, yet worth it, experience for the pups. Of course the neighborhood, and security measures are my first things I look at.... downtown hound has it covered. Triple doors for safety, ramp access, and CLEAN!!! They have some swag if your a momento person. Staff not only gave attention to the pups, but they put our minds at ease. They played with the pups, treats, and potty time. We'll be back.
