I’ve been training at Elev8 Performance Gym since September, and it has honestly been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and overall strength. I came in with zero strength-training experience, I’m a Pilates instructor, so the movements, breathing and techniques are completely different for me. Tom and Rory have been incredible from day one. They explain everything so clearly, break movements down step-by-step, and always make sure my technique is safe and correct. I started strength training to improve my speed and explosiveness for BJJ, and the progress has been unbelievable. Movements that felt impossible before, like squats and bench press are now becoming achievable because of their guidance. I’m lifting weights I never imagined I’d be able to lift. Rory has been especially supportive with my squat technique (my toughest movement!) and I always feel encouraged rather than overwhelmed. Tom has also helped me understand how strength training works with my body, which has boosted my confidence massively. If you’re someone who has never done strength training before, or you feel nervous to start, this is the place to go. The coaches, the atmosphere, and the support at Elev8 are unmatched. I feel stronger, faster and more capable every week. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I started this gym about 6 weeks ago and have massively enjoyed it. Everyone from the coaches to the other members have been nothing but welcoming, friendly and motivational. The standards of the gym are excellent and the workouts are great with all the coaches guiding you through proper technique. It gives me the confidence to push myself. 100% staying and would definitely recommend.
I joined Elev8 last spring after moving to the city, and I can honestly say it’s unlike any gym I’ve been part of before. The well-structured programme and a genuinely supportive community makes it unique. The training programme is the perfect balance of challenging and fun. The focus on technique, progression, and smart training, means you always feel like you’re improving. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in your progress—both inside and outside the gym. The community is warm, welcoming, and full of people who support and encourage each other. Since joining, my confidence has grown massively. My strength and technique have improved, and one of my biggest wins has been gaining mobility—especially in my knees, which have given me trouble for years due to past sports injuries. I couldn’t recommend Elev8 more to anyone serious about their health and fitness. It’s worth every penny.
I’m really enjoying the 6 week challenge at elev8 and would recommend it to anyone. The coaches have been amazing, they’re really supportive and as a complete beginner they have made me feel really welcome and offered so much advice and support. The classes are challenging but you are supported and encouraged the whole way through and the exercises are explained clearly. I never thought I’d enjoy going the gym so much! Can’t believe the difference at 4 weeks in already and I’m really pleased with the results so far. Highly recommend elev8!
Elev8 gym is just the best. Can’t recommend it highly enough. As an older person joining a gym for the first time I was full of trepidation. This disappeared completely after the first session with Tom. He was very welcoming and really expert in matching one-to-one training to my experience and capabilities. Once in the structured classes I met some great people: all ages and abilities, serious but fun too. All the staff are top notch and, six months in, I feel so much stronger and fitter. Superb!
