Jill at Eleven Winery made our experience above and beyond! I went on my birthday and they even gave me free chocolate! We chose our own adventure and enjoyed every wine we had! They have a backyard space that is perfect for any furry friends!
We came for a tasting and had to ask them to circle on their brochure which wines we were drinking since just telling us and handing us wine glasses to go sit down wasn’t very informative. They seemed like they were taken back that I even asked. How weird that you have to insist to get educated about the wines they are selling… We bought a bottle after all but wouldn’t have known what to buy if we hadn’t had insisted they clarify what we were drinking. We tasted 10 wines so some clarity was needed. They didn’t even really let me know clearly what was poured in what glass. I had to read the brochure to figure it out. Hopefully we bought the right one. Atmosphere was good and it was laid back, dog friendly, and in the shade. Cool experience other than the people selling the wine.
The wine was good, the atmosphere was good. However, as a winery, the staff does not know wine etiquette. Did not do the tasting, only glasses of wine. Rose first so we could share a bottle, then went for a white. Staff insisted I use the same glass. I said no, put it in a bin and got the clean glass. Remember, satisfied customers are your goal. A clean glass is important with wine.
My husband and I were celebrating our one year wedding anniversary and decided to split a flight and use it to choose an anniversary bottle of wine. Best decision ever! We'd been downtown a lot during our trip so we chose the winery instead of the tasting room for a little more breathing room and for the outdoor seating! Forrest was the one who selected our flight for us and he customized it perfectly! He even threw in an extra pour at the end and, of course, it was the best one out of them all and we took a bottle home with us. Just one of our many bainbridge purchases! We appreciated being treated respectfully as we were the youngest patrons there by a long shot and are still learning about wine while on a newlywed budget! Forrest was awesome and we had a great time! Edit: I do wish each glass didn't require a physical trip back to the counter, made us feel a little self-conscious!
We had a nice wine tasting at Eleven! Unfortunately our pours got progressively smaller as we went through the flights we ordered, but everything we tried was tasty. The space in front of the bar is small, but there's a larger back room and outside seating as well.
