Located right in the heart of Downtown Phoenix, Fair Trade Cafe is one of those urban escapes. It’s got that perfect "Roosevelt Row" energy—eclectic local art on the walls, high ceilings, and a vibe that feels like a community living room. Here is a look at the experience of grabbing a classic morning fuel-up there. The first thing you notice is the relaxed, unpretentious soul of the place. It’s a favorite for ASU students and downtown professionals alike. Whether you're sitting at a window stool watching the light rail pass by or tucked into a corner sofa, it’s the kind of spot where you can actually hear yourself think. The Breakfast Burrito at Fair Trade isn't your standard greasy-spoon fare; it feels more "house-made" and intentional. It’s a hearty mix of fluffy scrambled eggs, jack cheese, and black beans. What sets it apart is the use of organic rosemary potatoes and grilled vegetables, which give it an earthy, savory depth you don't find in a typical fast-food version. It’s wrapped in a toasted flour tortilla and dressed with a subtle house aioli that ties the ingredients together. It’s filling without being a "food coma" inducer, though it’s definitely large enough to be a full meal. The black coffee is remarkably smooth with low acidity. It has a clean, nutty finish that acts as a perfect palate cleanser between bites of the savory, cheese-laden burrito. It’s a "no-frills" pairing that lets the quality of the roast speak for itself. If you want a breakfast that feels local, sustainable, and satisfying, this is the spot. It’s not a "hidden gem" anymore—the locals know it well—but it still feels like a discovery every time you walk in. Approximately $10–$13 for the burrito and black coffee

Decided to check this place out. Food was delicious, coffee was on point. The breakfast burrito was good. My breakfast bagel was delicious, however my side of potatoes needed more salt which I added. Place is nice and cozy. Coffee was perfectly balanced and staff was pretty nice.

Stopped by this coffee shop in downtown and I’m so glad I did! I believe it’s woman-owned, which makes it even better 💖 The space is super chic, with plenty of seating inside, outside, and even in front of the store. I loved all the colorful decor—it really gives the place a fun, vibrant vibe. I tried an Italian soda and it was delicious, and their pastries looked just as amazing. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to! They also have different nights..I am not too sure when but check out their Instagram or tiktok for it.

Super cute place! It’s been recently remodeled, it didn’t look like a majority of the pictures posted. Very friendly staff! My drink was made quickly, the food was yummy. I got a banana cream latte with oat milk, it did not taste like fake banana! It was very yummy! And a smoked salmon bagel.

I gave this place 3 stars because it took over 20 minutes to get my drink. I understand they were busy, but one of the girls making drinks kept stopping to chat with another employee, which slowed everything down. I ordered the Matcha Strawberry Cream ,it was delicious, but the wait was just too long and prices are a bit high. One employee did check on me after about 10 minutes, which I appreciated, but overall the experience could’ve been better.
