This is an Italian restaurant where reservations are absolutely necessary, as it is always very busy and popular. You won’t be able to get in without one. It’s important to keep in mind that the restaurant is quite expensive; however, the prices are justified because the portions are very large and the quality of the food is excellent. The only real downside is that the restaurant is almost always packed, which makes it very noisy and sometimes difficult to have a proper conversation with the person sitting next to you. That said, everything else makes up for it. The service is impeccable, with attentive and professional staff, and the food is consistently delicious. Another nice touch is the atmosphere and décor. The restaurant puts a lot of effort into decorating for every holiday, such as Halloween, Christmas, Easter, and more, which adds to the overall dining experience and makes each visit feel special

Came to DC with a friend to visit her daughter and they had made reservations for 4 3 months prior, so it worked out great for us to join them. The place was beautifully decorated for Christmas, the food was delicious (and enough for 2 meals). I personally recommend the ravioli and meatballs, as you can see we 3 agree! Desserts were over the top. We all ordered a different dessert and then shared with each other, after thought was we should have done that with dinner as well. Next time I guess, as we will definitely be back. Oh a service was excellent! You felt welcomed!

Filomena is truly my favorite restaurant! Their homemade pastas are out of this world incredibly fresh, rich, and full of authentic flavor. You can really taste the love and tradition in every bite. The atmosphere is super classy and very high elegant, yet warm and welcoming at the same time. It feels like stepping into a place full of history, comfort, and charm. The service is always amazing, very special place for special occasions. I highly recommend Filomena to anyone who loves real Italian food made with heart!

Absolutely delicious meatballs. The staff were very polite and their service was truly top notch. The bar seating was comfortable and overall atmosphere was relaxing. The free bread was quite nice. Food wise do yourselves a favor and get the meatball, they were absolutely amazing. Overall if you want great Italian food then check them out.

We happen to stay in Georgetown DC and on the way to the hotel the name caught my eye, because one of our family members has the same name Filomena. We have to go eat there I told my husband. Shortly after we walked in, the restaurant is downstairs so it’s a flight down. We were greeted and seated immediately even though the place was packed on a Monday night. The atmosphere is happy and energetic. The food comes quick in huge plates. We had the vodka rigatoni with chicken. It’s the best vodka rigatoni we ever had in our entire life. Better I have to say than Italy itself. Plates are to be shared, the service was excellent. We will fly back there just to go eat at Filomena Ristorante There you have it. So if you are traveling that way, stop by. Make a reservation not sure if you will be able to claim a spot at this place.
