Been going here for nearly 10 years. In recent years, I've noticed that there seems to be a lack of proper ventilation. The air feels very warm and and unbearable. I would strongly suggest some fans be set up around the space like in other FF locations. That, or increase the air flow from the vents.
I am a working-holiday Traveller from Germany. I've spend my first 3 months in Melbourne and wanted to have a Gym to go to. First I used the free day trial in the fitness first, but before I could use the Gym I was talked into getting a contract. I told them that I'd only stay for three months and they told me that It'd be no problem to leave after three months with no fee. However now I'm traveling up the east cost, I wanted to cancel my membership and I was hit with a 12-month membership, with a 245$ leaving waiver. In retrospect, I should have definitely read the contract more closely. But still, this means that either their staff is completely incompetent (thought that I could leave after 3 months) or it is their business practice to scam young, poor travellers.
I have already told the receptionist that my money has been deducted weekly. (I wanted to stop deducting my money ) He said no, it is not for weekly. It is just one time. Next week later, my money was deducted as I trust the information from Joe. So I did let him to stop deducting on that’s time. I immediately told someone in Email. but no one takes action for me for over a month now. That means my money deducted for nothing for 4 weeks. $49*4=$196.00 that is still deducted. and someone replied Email today if I immediately stop have to pay the fee $198. If you told me since 4 weeks ago. I should have wasted my money only the fee. So who take responsibility with this situation? Why you didn’t take action since that’s time. I want my money back as I told you to stop for long time. But it’s because of tou that’s ignored me. Please consider I waste money for 4 weeks + because of your staff. How I get this money back. I’m sure I told you in email several times. It is not my fault. You didn’t immediately take an action for me but kept deducting my money. Don’t cheat on me.
I’ve been training with Sophia Yin at Fitness First Melbourne Central, and she’s absolutely outstanding. Every session is professional, well-structured, and full of positive energy. She gives clear, precise cues that really help me understand proper form and movement, especially when working around an old injury. I always feel supported — both physically and mentally — and her enthusiasm makes every workout genuinely enjoyable. Easily one of the best coaches I’ve ever trained with!
I’ve been a member of Fitness First Melbourne Central for the past few months, and I’m so impressed! The facilities are always clean, and the equipment is top-notch. The staff are friendly, professional, and always willing to help, whether you’re a beginner or experienced, shout out to Shawn the club manager who always there to chat and help me. The atmosphere is motivating, friendly, and it feels like a community rather than just a gym.
