Some folks are born to eat bad pizza, Oh that flimsy, tasteless, folded greaser, and when they play hail to that flimsy pizza, they point the finger at you, Lord..... It ain’t me....No it ain’t me, I Eat at Fortunate Son! No it ain’t me, It ain't me, I ain’t no flimsy pizza eater. I eat at FORTUNATE SON....More, more, more! I love eating pizza at Fortunate Son. Crunchy, yet chewy, a little chard, spicy marinara, tastiest pepperoni and other top notch fresh ingredients. A perfect pie. Horseshoe bar, bartenders that shake your hand, learn your name, attentive & welcoming. You won’t sit empty. Good array of handcrafted cocktails, rotating beers and don’t sleep on the Tiramisu. Sheez. Next level. In house homemade Pastas are great too. Garland you’re a Fortunate Son of a gun to have a next level spot such as this. It lights my life up like the beautiful lighted tree on their patio. Go eat here, laugh, savor life and repeat.

This place has the most amazing gluten free pizza. We ate here last year and I expected the same old frozen GF crust with toppings. Instead I got a hand tossed, sourdough gluten free pizza that made me remember what pizza used to taste like in my pre GF days. I couldn’t wait to return to Dallas and go there again. It’s worth the wait and the cost! I even brought our leftovers back on the plane to Atlanta to share with our GF kiddos at home. My daughter nearly cried eating her first piece! I dislike driving in Dallas, but this pizza makes it (almost) worth it!

Was so excited after watching Dave’s one bite review, but couldn’t have been more disappointed. $100 for burnt pizza. I worked in restaurants for 15 years. Who lets this leave the kitchen? Did anyone even look at it before putting it in the box. The taste was good but needed ranch and pizza sauce to choke down. So sad. Our friends had a good experience dining in and were really surprised by what we got. This was our first experience.

This is my new favorite place to get pizza and have drinks. We had the large clam Pizza and large basic cheese pizza. The flavor of the clam pie was delicious. The sauce and the crust were spot on. For appetizers we had the crab and artichoke dip a must try for an appetizer if you enjoy artichokes and crab smothered in cheese. We also had the clam spaghetti I'm normally not a fan of spaghetti style pasta but it was amazing and I would definitely order it again. All in all a fun experience great food, great service, and great atmosphere. Downtown Garland and their restaurants have really come a long way from what it used to be

It's worth the wait. Pizzas were flavorful, perfect thin crust, with premium toppings. Our server was excellent. We sat outside when it became a little chilly and he was able to grab the kids hot chocolates quickly along with our food order. Highly recommend and will have to make the trip back! Plus being located in downtown Garland, we enjoyed the kids play area across the street while we waited for our table. Great location!
