Love this bookstore so so much. They also have local, Black owned products like Shea butters and oils❤️
A wide variety of books and manuscripts! I especially appreciate the staff’s willingness to accommodate reader requests, kind and helpful. If they don’t carry it, they offer personal orders. Everything is easy to find and there are sitting areas as well if you’d like to read your new book. Very convenient location as well
I don’t have any pictures of Frugal, but I went here today as part of the Indie Book Crawl and I loved the energy in this place 🤍🤍🤍 Had an amazing conversation with Fiona (fiona if I misremembered your name please forgive me) and spoke with a fellow visitor. A lot of books about the community and great representation of books for the kids as well 🥺 Honestly, this is such a community based bookstore! I think it might benefit from a little more upkeep / lighting, but otherwise the people are what gets you to come back here :))) If you ever do visit (I urge you to)— do talk to the folks at the shop!
The best and most real bookstore you will meet - and it's all black owned! I found all the books I could only dream of as an indigenous Inuk - I could have taken every book home with me. You could almost feel the healing, resilience and power from the books in the atmostphere of the shop. If only every business was as thoughtful and real as tis. The owners were so powerful and helpful and the conversations reminded me of how strong BIPOC solidarity is. Learning your (REAL) ancestral history is not taught at school - thats why you need spaces like this to decolonize your mind one book at a time 💚 QUJANAQ/Thank you!
Took a short ride from Connecticut to support the store and my wife and I enjoyed the experience. The owner helped us find everything we were looking for. Definitely will be back when we are in the area.

Your community hub for diverse books and BIPOC voices, fostering healing and knowledge one page at a time.
