Gillespie provided a handyman for me to fix my couch. One of the supports had broken. Bryce was the lovely person who came and resolved the problem within two hours. The cost was reasonable, and I was impressed with the level of professionalism and capability.

I had a single room to renovate and GHS handled it like it was Rideau Hall. They listened to what I wanted, organized quickly and completed the work professionally. The job included a hardwood floor, custom closet and all new trim. A critical mid-project change in the job was handled easily. The final result looks fantastic. Very Happy! I recently hired Gillespie to reinstall a couple pieces of siding that had come loose in the string wind. I was pleasantly surprised with the service. The office staff was helpful and organized when they could come and Peter was efficient and professional in doing the work.

Poor workmanship, poor customer service I contracted this company to fix my leaking shower drain/pan which required a shower drain & floor replacement, plus a full retile of my shower walls - a significant $10K project. I give 1star only since the drain no longer seems to leak (though time will tell). There were many issues and delays with the job: the tiles were misaligned requiring overlay tiling of a full wall; the finish of the shower tiles is poor (tiles not flat, uneven spacing, couple of chips) so that the uneven grouting is visible; my hardwood floors in the room outside the shower were damaged from the workers’ materials requiring sanding and varnish of the area (which now does not match the original finish in the rest of the room); silicone along corners messy; ceiling painting was sloppy in corners (painter tape not used). When I raised issues I had to email/call multiple times to get a response. The major issues were addressed (realignment of tiles, refinishing of floor) but the expectation of consistent tile spacing/grouting was dismissed. At that point, I needed them to finish the job. I do not recommend this company. Save yourself weeks of headache.
