I had a bad experience and ended up leaving before I could even try on dresses. The shop is shared with another full priced bridal boutique, and you can definitely tell that the Glamour Closet customers are not their priority. The staff focused on the bridal boutique customers that had appointments. You can't make appointments for Glamour Closest except on Sunday as it is first come, first serve. My first impression of the window displays when I arrived was that these were the ugliest wedding dresses I had ever seen. I chalked it up to them being on display for the fancy boutique but was later unimpressed by the selection of dresses. They only had about six racks of dresses to try on that were Glamour Closest dresses. Two racks of A line and ball gown. Four racks of tighter fitting silhouettes. I was the first to arrive 10 minutes before they opened on a Saturday morning. I waited patiently outside for the shop to open. A minute till the doors were supposed to open two ladies came up and cut in front of me and started banging on the door. I honestly thought they were employees arriving for their shift because I had seen staff come and go and I was obviously waiting for the doors to open. When the doors opened for them, they welcomed them in first. They gave us the introduction together and let us start looking at dresses. I was second to finish clipping my dresses and was told I would need to wait an hour plus to try on the dresses I had selected because I was third in line behind the two ladies that cut in front of me. The staff made me feel very unwelcome, like I was in the way, and like they didn't want me hanging around the store while I waited to try on dresses. They suggested I leave and come back when they texted me to return. I left and told them I wouldn't be coming back. I instead went to Janene's Bridal only a couple blocks away. They welcomed me with open arms, friendlier staff, lower prices, more beautiful dresses and way more selection. Will not be recommending Glamour Closet. The dresses were not to my style, mostly very small sizes and I honestly didn't think the prices were that great. Don't waste your time and go to Janene's Bridal instead.
Judy was so wonderful and I really appreciated her patience and kindness. I definitely cried after finding the right dress 😂 My only small critique is I miss that the store used to have a larger selection and with a bigger variety of sizes. But I’ve only had good experiences here from everyone and I’ve brought friends and family here for their occasion, so definitely a beautiful worthy store to visit when wedding dress shopping! I had a fantastic experience at Glamour Closet. I went with my parents right at opening on a Saturday and was welcomed in by Bridget, who was wonderful with assessing what I was looking for and walked me through the process with ease (her coworker also peeked over to see what I liked as well!). Throughout my search both would check in and offer me a potential option to add to my list. Bridget read me well and was able to help me identify what I did / didn't like, and would return to the rack to find additional dresses that I hadn't chosen on my first look through to help me narrow down my choices. When discussing budget she didn't make me feel at all stressed, and she brought me dresses that were within my price range. She also made the experience incredibly fun, even with me and my family having initial nerves to getting excited and having a blast. Ultimately, the first dress I tried on was THE dress, and Bridget was so supportive in hyping me up into that moment of trying it back on, and giving me the space and time to process (and get a little emotional!). She helped me identify what alterations were feasible and made the process so seamless and easy. Bridget and the team at Glamour Closet SF made my experience a dream!
Sandy and Judy were so helpful and genuinely sweet - they really understood my vision and helped me find the perfect dress! Their collection is great, featuring a lot of well-known designer brands at discounted price (and in my opinion even better than some of the bigger stores in SF). I also appreciated that there’s no appointment fee, and I was able to walk in and get help right away. Such a fantastic experience - highly recommend Glamour Closet to anyone looking for their dress!
I had a lovely visit at Glamour Closet SF. The sample sales dresses have good discount, and although the selections are not large, the dresses are in great conditions and from well known designers. Veronica was super helpful and made me feel comfortable to browse, take pics, style the dresses different ways at my own pace. Highly recommend checking this place out once you’ve been to a few appointments and have a good idea of what you like and ready to buy on the spot!
