Brilliant tour. We really enjoyed the two hour walk, despite the wind and rain. John's knowledge made the walk a thoroughly enjoyable experience and any questions were answered by him extensively and interestingly. His knowledge of the history of Liverpool is superb and combined with his enthusiasm and love for his subject made us feel privileged to have been on the walk. Thank you John 😊
A truly fascinating couple of hours. John really knows his stuff (he's a qualified historian), and takes you from the three Graces around the city, pointing out landmarks and explaining their history, until you end up in the city centre (a stones throw from the Cavern club). He explained how and why the city developed, and the technological innovations that made Liverpool a world leading port. He also gives advice about things to do in the city and places to eat and drink. Hugely enjoyable and educational. 10/10.
John was an excellent guide. He was a font of all knowledge about the area covered by this tour. We marvelled at his memory of all the historical sates. One suggestion to John is that he may need to slow down his delivery of information if he has foreign guests in his party. Our Dutch friends managed to keep up with him but would have welcomed a slower pace. John encouraged questions and was friendly and well mannered with his party of guests. Thank you John, we had an excellent two hour tour and thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and the tour.
Fantastic tour with John. Excellent knowledge and loved every minute of it. Learned so much about the history of this great city. I am from Liverpool but booked this tour so I could find out more about the places I have walked past so many times without knowing fully what they’re all about. Can only imagine for people not from here it is even more interesting. This tour was everything I wanted and more. Great value, thanks John.
Did this tour earlier this week. John, our tour guide was truly excellent. He gave us so much information over the 2 hour tour, we felt like we had brain overload! 🤣. Would definitely recommend this to learn about the history of the city.
