Absolutely love the variety of books here. So glad to have visited this shop on a whim during our travels from Ontario. Excellent curated selection, and lovely store associates! I wish I had seen the tote bag/pin before leaving, but at least purchased a unique book to bring back with me.

I love a bookstore that has lots of those cards providing staff recommendations and displays that are curated to highlight books you might not have found on your own. Golden Hare does both so well and I always leave having found books I’m excited about but hadn’t heard about before. The staff are lovely and it’s just a delightful shop.

told myself i wouldn’t buy books today. told myself many lies, it turns out. it was over the moment i saw all the little post-it notes with personalised recommendations. the genre spread is so exquisite i dissociated briefly. there was also a real fireplace, which i assume was there to weaken my defences. i was set up to fail. i will be back.

Golden Hare Books is a beautifully curated little gem. The selection is small in the best possible way — thoughtfully chosen, easy to browse, and full of books you immediately want to take home. It truly feels like they have something for everyone. The staff are warm and friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere of the shop. A wonderful independent bookstore well worth a visit.
