Steve is absolutely fantastic. He has fixed multiple computers for us on several different occasions now, and has also given friendly, unfailingly helpful advice via phone or email many other times. He's remarkably good at chasing down and fixing even the most complicated issues. His fees are remarkably reasonable for such a skilled and reliable professional. He routinely goes above and beyond the call of duty. I recommend him wholeheartedly. Editing to add: 8 years later, I came here to add a review and found that I already had done one. Steve is still our go-to person for computer repair. I had an emergency situation yesterday and he invited me to bring the computer right away, fixed it while we waited in town, and had me up and running again by early afternoon. He is hands-down the best!
Excellent communication and work. My MacBookPro had a serious battery issue and Steve jumped on getting a replacement right away. Because of this they were able to get my fully repaired laptop back to me much earlier than expected. It's working beautifully. I highly recommend!
I could hardly have imagined my computer repair would be an uplifting experience, but so it was. Steve - the Windows man in the partnership - fixed my Mac in 5 minutes, then accepted the modest fee, only after asking if I thought it was fair. He was courteous and friendly throughout, and I had full confidence in his skills from the first. He even took time to offer some advice on VPN’s, and to recount the story behind the signed picture of Steve Jobs on the wall. I recommend this business highly.
Steve was so helpful and very concerned about how my server being down was affecting my business. He took it in, inspected it in a very timely fashion, called with estmate and options for repair. Had it repaired so I could meet a tax payment deadline. Thanks to Steve and staff from everyone at Auto Alternative!!!! Will be my first call for any computer hardware needs.
