Took my Luxman M-02 and C-02 fix the bulbs on the meters and have the unit inspected. The sound was scratchy and distorted, I asked to have the stereo gone through and made whole again. Paid a $100 cash deposit and left my stereo. The stereo was a gift from a good friend and held sentimental value so wanted to use the stereo in the house. ~6 weeks later I was called, was told there was a balance of a additional $120. Picked up my stereo and asked the gentleman what work was done and if any issues were found. The gentlemen at the counter was extremely vague and didn’t tell me much. Raised a red flag for me but shook it off, assuming maybe he didn’t do the work. Took it home and plugged it in. The lamps worked but the sound was still terrible, scratchy and distorted. I took the cover off the M-02 and found a dirty and dusty amp with bulging and leaking capacitors, specifically the 2 large filter capacitors. The unit was very clearly not inspected in any way. Took to another repair shop. Several components were replaced, amp and preamp now sound great. Very disappointed in this shop, feel ripped off.

I can't recommend Heavy Rotation enough! The technicians were friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough - and even kindly carried my heavy Sansui QRX 6500 receiver to the car for me! They fixed the tuner and audio issues that I brought it in for at a fraction of what I feared a vintage piece of equipment like this was going to run me. I'm going here first for my next repair for sure!

Went in and had a great experience! I was looking for my first turntable and was pointed in the right direction. Also picked up a few vinyl albums and a few CDs 💿. Go in and check it out!
