My second favorite venue in San Diego. Intimate and by the marina so lovely views. My only complaint is the chairs are way too small for your average American adult
Dated but magnificent. They need some new chairs with a touch better spacing but this legendary venue is stil an iconic location. Always make reservations for your dinner tickets...
My husband and I go to concerts here a couple times a year. It’s the best venue in all of Southern California! There’s not a bad seat in the house, the view of the water and lush landscape is amazing and the people who work there are so nice! We haven’t tried the restaurant or stayed in the hotel, but I hear they’re both great.
$25 for tight parking spaces close to the venue. Most people come early and park elsewhere to tailgate, go to restaurants and walk a bit, and get free parking. The uncomfortable, plastic chair seating is zip tied together on hot turf outside and feels like you are packed together like sardines. Even standing up to dance was hard because you almost had to turn sideways. The chair behind was so close that it hit the back of your leg and in front of you were the zip tied menus. Who came up with that? Who can actually read that far away? Maybe just have a QR code sticker on the back of the chair. Some folks went into the aisles to dance, but there wasn't room there either. The drinks are sold with no lid so it's a challenge not to slosh and spill. Then folks just leave them all over on the turf instead of tossing them in the trash. There were clean bathrooms, with around 6 stalls and about 4 sink stations. In addition, they had porto potties. After the event, there was a line of 20 ladies for the real toilets. While it was lovely to be outside and close to the water when the sun set, I could not wait to leave. I paid $50 for the tickets and $25 for parking. It was my first time and I anticipated a better experience. The folks who got rooms and stayed upstairs had the right idea.
Love this venue.... just wish the chairs were not tied so tightly together. If you or the person next to you is on the heavier side... you will be smoothed! Last concert i went to, I loved being in the vip section at the back above the crowds... bar stools to sit and watch the show!
