My wife and I are in the process of relocating to Madison. My daughter and I stopped in today for the first time. I immediately knew this was going to be a fantastic visit. To all the previous reviews that emphasized their displeasure being greeted by Lily the dog, rest assured she is a sweetheart and is just very vocal at first. I understand those who have a fear of dogs, but I never felt she was aggressive in any way. The items in the store are of high quality and the owner took her time explaining the provenance of every piece that I purchased. I have no doubt that I will be spending a great deal of time at Janet’s Antiques and getting to know Jane and her lovely dog Lily and certainly making more purchases for our home. I highly recommend this store for quality antiques.

Has a great variety of antiques, very neat and organized - I managed to find 2 pristine saucers and teacups for a reasonable price. Janet also gave us a little history for each piece, which added to the special finds.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience. After reading reviews, we took note of there being a dog present, which to be honest, was the biggest motivator for visiting. Lily (the fabulous dog) is soooo sweet. She let everyone know that we had arrived with her big dog bark, and then just wanted attention. Not an ounce of aggression from her for even a moment. The owner is the nicest person to sit and have a conversation with. I'm not sure why there are reviews of her being rude?? She's the furthest from being rude. We promised Lily we would bring her a snack so we will definitely be back!!
