An absolutely fantastic experience with Julie and her team. Very knowledgeable and wonderful with choosing which woofer worked best with our current old fella (which we also got from here 2012) Highly recommended for your next or first pet rescue!!!

Just a short review for Julies and some feedback. My 2 year old Cavoodle has a two night trial stay over the weekend. I enquired if I could get a quick call or email to let me know how he was going as it was his first time stay at a kennel. I was told it was the weekend so that would not be possible unless there was a problem. He is clingy and anxious by nature and on admission and prior emails, I was reassured that I would be notified if he was overtly stressed, anxious or frightened during his stay so I could pick him up. That is one of the reasons why we did keep him there. On collection however I was told that he had been extremely unsettled, did not do well with the other dogs, and was not interested in his food or being moved around. Given this feedback I was extremely shocked and saddened that I had not been notified so I could pick him up and my dog was there for whole days being sad and frightened. He obviously was anxious and had not slept for two days as he was very sleepy and lethargic on return and slept the whole day before being back to his normal self. I am sure the staff do an excellent job but for short first time stays especially for younger dogs who have not been in a kennel environment, it would be very beneficial for the dog owners to at least get some sort of feedback as it it very stressful for the owner as well not knowing how their dog is faring. I think communication in this instance would be appreciated. This feedback is for first time kennel users especially for young anxious dogs. I would be wary.

I can highly recommend Julies Boarding Kennels to anyone looking at boarding kennels for theirs dogs! Shannon was absolutely amazing with Amy and we are so grateful for the time Shannon spent with us leading up to Amy’s first stay. After a not so nice experience with another boarding kennel it was a huge relief to find Julies boarding kennels. We were so impressed with Shannon and Lexy’s experience with challenging rescue dogs like Amy, I felt extremely comfortable with leaving Amy in their capable hands for the weekend. Amy came home happy, content, soft and clean! Thank you both for taking such good care of Amy and bathing her! We look forward to using Julie’s Boarding Kennels again when we are away next.
