Now located in the Mitsuwa Market, this store carries a limited range of Japanese print periodicals covering a range of subjects, but has dedicated a substantial portion of the floor to anime and manga. It also has a variety of Japanese writing and drawing instruments and media. If you don't see your series, ask the staff for assistance.
They took out the art guide books in the corner of the store a few months ago. Some of the staff are not nice to some of the regular customers either. The moment I walk in the store, one of the cashiers actually look at me and go inside the room to look at the surveillance cameras. I've been shopping in the store ever since 2015 and I am here to enjoy my time as a consumer purchasing japanese merchandise with my family. But I want improvement of the behavior of the staff. It has not been improved ever since last year.
My favorite book store for manga and magazine. I’ve been here many times with family and lots of good purchases here. Besides books, there is stationery and some merch (keychain, stands, pins), and also toys. Membership here is a good deal as well. Recommended if you come regularly. Location is also great - right next to Mitsuwa market place and food court. Overall one of my favorite places.
It’s a small bookstore for Kinokuniya. Nevertheless, they still have a wide range of selection for both English and Japanese books, as well as other languages. You can find many mangas here as well. I found some very old yet really popular series back in their time. (Red River/Anatolia Story, Fruit Baskets and Dragon Ball are classics!!!) They also have many healing items and cute merchandise, although the price can be quite high. Overall, nice bookstore. Our family loves coming here, especially since it’s next to a Japanese market and food court.
Best place in the bay area to buy Japanese stationary and kawaii stuff. Love the planners , notebooks, pens, stickers They also have a row of Japan related English books. Staff is very friendly. They help me find rate to find refills for Japanese ballpens.
