We’ve taken several cooking classes here, including salmon, filet and shrimp, and the calzone class twice. We’ve usually had a great experience and learned a lot — especially during our first calzone class, where we made the dough, pasta, and sauce completely from scratch. That class felt very hands-on and absolutely worth the money. Last week’s calzone class, however, was a bit of a disappointment. We mostly just filled the calzones instead of making everything ourselves, which made it feel less engaging, especially knowing how much we got out of the first one. We were also told we’d receive emailed instructions, but never did. In previous classes, printed recipes were provided, which was great because we could take them home and recreate the dishes. I can see that being a bit of a letdown for anyone attending for the first time who didn’t get those materials. Overall, we really enjoy these classes and plan to attend more, but we hope future sessions bring back that same hands-on experience.
Update: The owner called and explained we should have learned tips and tricks and walked through the dough processes. He refunded me my class and was very generous he gave us a gift card for another class to come back. This is probably the best customer service I have had. I was very shocked by the call and customer service. I am looking forward to my next class. Thank you Scott We were excited to attend our cooking class as a date night but found it underwhelming. The layout of the class area is nice and very clean. For 2 people we paid $200 for a calzone class. The calzone dough was premade so we didn't get to learn how to make the dough and there was no discussion on how the chef made it/tips or tricks. The chef went very quick on how to fold the calzone edges. She completed hers while everyone was still working on adding sauce to their own.
I had the pleasure of attending a cooking class with my work team last night. Daniel was PHENOMENAL and I had so much fun cooking our dinner and learning so much along the way (I brought my leftover risotto home and I am even going to cook my family steak and asparagus tonight so that they can have a taste of the amazing meal I cooked last night!). Thank you for an amazing experience. We all enjoyed ourselves and again, Daniel was very entertaining and professional!
I attended my first cooking class at Kitchen Social and had a great experience. Chefs Daniel and Gary were excellent instructors and made the class fun! I’ll definitely be attending another class in the future.
My husband and I enjoyed this cooking class. The chef was friendly & funny and the atmosphere was cozy. We weren't greeted or told what to do / where to sit but the chef was busy getting everything ready.. I loved how clean and nice everything was. It is a great date night idea but on the pricey side. We spent almost $300 for the Valentine's steak dinner.. great experience and I get to check it off of my bucket list. We also didn't get to learn how to make the strawberry dessert but I think the class might've been running late, idk.
