The hotel itself is quite nice and the grounds are pleasant, but our stay was significantly overshadowed by their billing practices and how they handled our $100 Chase credit. We ordered some food by the pool that totaled around $60. Somehow, the hotel claimed this completely exhausted our $100 credit. They automatically tacked on a 6% "surcharge" and a 20% gratuity that we never signed for or agreed to. When I reached out to management requesting an itemized receipt to see exactly how a $60 order turned into $100, they sent a generic brush-off response saying the billing was "correct," but completely failed to provide the actual breakdown. Because of this fuzzy math, we were forced to pay out of pocket for our morning drinks, which we expected to cover with the remaining credit. Even then, a $7 coffee from the menu magically became over $9 on the final bill due to these same hidden, non-transparent fees. To top it all off, overnight parking is nearly $50 a night, which just feels like an arbitrary way to make money out of nowhere. Overall, it’s a decent property, but be prepared to be nickel-and-dimed at every turn with mandatory surcharges, automatic tips, and unexplainable math.
