Kuidaore is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Ottawa. First I checked it out in 2022 and I had the Katsu Don, and it was good, but I haven’t gone back since then. Fast forward to 2026, I got back from my trip to Japan in November 2025 and within a week of being back home, I missed being in Japan, especially since I had the curry there and it was great. Having the curry today made me feel like I was back in Japan. It’s a bit on the expensive side ($26, not including tip and tax), but it’s definitely worth it for someone like me who misses everything in Japan. I definitely have to come back here, and back to Japan of course, but that’s for a whole different story. Finding parking is hit or miss, but if you want better parking, it’s better to pay for it down the street.

Kuidaore is hands down our favourite ramen place. The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are always perfectly cooked, and the sides are consistently delicious. Everything tastes fresh and comforting every single time. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and food that never disappoints. Highly recommend!

I have gone here twice and look forward to returning. Japanese beers I have never seen anywhere in Canada before. Sake. Plum wine. And the food! Delicious. Staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. I really enjoyed the ramen I had the first visit and ordered more the second time. The wasabi shrimp tempura is astounding. I highly recommend the flight of plum wines. Delicious.

Such a beautiful place with excellent food! We ordered the Chef’s choice Skewers, which are so tasty! In addition, we ordered the creamy Tonkotsu Black Ramen and the Grilled Beef Ramen! Both ramen are really big (go prepared). The service was excellent!

Went for dinner and had a delicious meal at this Asian restaurant in Little Italy. Started with appetizers of dumplings and fried chicken. Then had an Asian soup with pork belly and ramen noodles. Very tasty and portions are generous. No complaints.
