Parking situation is terrifying - choose between a pitch black parking lot (there’s street lights they’re just not on….) or a creepy parking garage. Never really feel safe coming or going in the night which is 5pm in the winters. Edit: Changing my review to one Star. Gym isn’t open at 6:30am on New Years Eve. This is NOT a holiday….. gym was just closed for 2 weeks and has the worst hours. I’ll be switching gyms. All other gyms in the area are open.
On December 18, I checked out the newly renovated LA Fitness, and the upgrades are impressive. They’ve added new equipment, modernized several machines, updated the layout, and refreshed the flooring. The first floor is still being waxed, but the training areas overall feel much improved. They even added Pilates, and the renovated sauna is so nice I didn’t want to leave. Honestly, I think other LA Fitness locations like El Centro in Hollywood and a few others should start making similar updates, especially with modernization, layout improvements, and new machines, just like the Carson and Traffic Circle locations have done. On the second floor, they added more dumbbells and new barbells, which I was really happy to see. And the third-floor layout is continuing to improve with new machines being added.
Be careful they advertise a 3 day pass online and then want to charge you $20 after the first day. That's false advertising horrible business. Not to mention they were very pushy about me signing up before even seeing the gym. Great gym horrible business ethics... I don't know if it was just this club or what I will be looking into the terms and conditions of the 3 day pass. And calling the corporate office. Horrible experience. Great gym just terrible way to do business. Imagine trying to utilize your 3 day pass then getting told you have to sign up or pay $20 for the other 2 days
Just had an upgrade this gym, its a super complete gym for all ages. Im so happy in this gym
Decent facility in a busy/working community. Pros: 1. Three stories of all gym 2. A complete gym with pool, sauna, cardio, free weight, and a bonus running track around the free weights area Cons: 1. Not the greatest of visual talents (if you know what I mean). 2. Equipment was older and needs refreshing (rusty and frictiony). Do this quick to retain customers. 3. Improve lighting in areas.
