These guys are some mad scientist technician wizards! Amazing work they can do. They fixed a longstanding issue (happening over 5-6 years) I had with my Allen & Heath DB2 DJ mixer; the signal would jump sporadically, and the potentiometers for the high pass and low pass filters would flicker and the volume would spike, then drop, rapidly. It rendered the unit completely unusable — it was basically broken, completely haywire. It was also a fairly intermittent issue. I had searched the web to see if others had experienced this problem or something similar, and couldn't find anything. I took the mixer into Long & McQuade; they were completely stumped and said they had never seen an issue like it and weren't licensed to work on it. The capper was when I sent the unit into JAM Industries in Montreal—the "authorized technicians" for A&H products—and they sent the mixer back after a couple weeks, claiming a "no fault found". I do not believe they tested or even attempted to diagnose the issue. I gave rich description of the problem. When I brought the unit into Lextronics, within 5 minutes, Bobby speculated on where the issue lay, basically correctly diagnosing it right then and there. They managed to fix the issue within 2 weeks and now my mixer is working great, like new. I am so thankful. They also worked on my turntables and made some small adjustments there, and they continue to work on my Pioneer CDJ 900 that requires a new motherboard. Thank you Lextronics!
Took my pioneer ddj 1000 to get a lot of work done as it was freezing and there was damage inside the controller relating to jog wheel sensors and other issues Despite reading reviews on this place, I will say this is a professional establishment, it was expensive fix but this is an expensive item and that’s just reality, and there isn’t a lot of options They where good at responding to me “When I reached out to them first” about updates and things that needed to be discussed, I imagined it being a small shop with so much to do (as services are limited to these kinds of problems being solved that I would have to take these steps and not just sit back expecting my problem to be at the top of their list. The controller took less than a month to be back in my possession with things working how they should be. I’m leaving this review because I feel they did a good job and it should be recognized !
I dropped off an amp in October. Still have not heard back from them and you cannot get a hold of them. Take your items elsewhere!
Brought two studio monitors with blown tweeters to be repaired. They charged me $200 for the repair, so I assumed they replaced it with the OEM parts. After 3 months when the tweeters blew again I brought them to an electrical engineer friend who found out some interesting things. The parts they replaced my tweeters with are: 1. Way too low of a wattage for the speakers, hence why they blew so quickly (12w vs req 20w) 2. A $1.50 Chinese part, and 3. Likely used, due to the bad condition of the part after being pulled out (dirty, poorly handled, damaged) Considering I was charged $200 for this, I’d never bring anything back to them. Also to mention, they made me pay in cash, and never called me when the repair was finished - I had to follow up.
Great service, fair price and fast. Took my powered mixer that was having issues and peaking out randomly. Only took 2 days and was fixed, cleaned up very nicely and ready to go. Thanks again!
