This bookstore is my kids favorite place, as well as my favorite place! Laura (the owner) is always SO helpful & knows exactly what my kids would like to read & makes such great recommendations. She orders in books for us that she doesn’t already have in stock, which is so great because it means I never need to order from a big book store. It’s so adorable inside but it’s not only for kids! She sells other books too. I also love the monthly book swaps (super ecofriendly) all of the fun events she sets up & the free book clubs! The store also sells cute bags, stickers, toys, & other merchandise. I hope this store stays here forever!

A tiny local gem packed with character and lots of great reads. I only had a few moments to stop in before a nearby event, but I’m so glad I did! I’ll definitely swing by again the next time I’m in the area. This charming spot has books for all ages, and unique local finds!

I can't recommend this store enough. This perfectly-sized, local, independent bookshop is absolutely splendid. "Literally" has book clubs galore to fit just about any fancy, age range, or schedule. The shop has authors reading their works, literary or seasonally themed craft projects, adorable gifts available for purchase, and even yoga for both children and adults. Moreover, if the bookshop doesn't have what you need immediately at hand - which I've found to be rare, even with independent authors - you may order it (either through their website or in person) with virtually zero hassle. Additionally, every order I've placed to be delivered to my home always arrives with a cheery little handwritten note. I have yet to see a mega-retailer like Amazon, Walmart or Barnes & Noble be so thoughtful. If you are in the East Valley of Phoenix in search of reading material, or gifts for the bookworm in your life: stop in, peruse the shelves, and enjoy this Gilbert jem. Your time in "Literally: a Bookshop" will be well spent.

My favorite place to shop for the latest reads and attend book clubs. Laura is so nice and welcoming, and the interior is just so nice and cozy. I always feel like a little kid whenever I come by just to find at least one more book to add to my shelf. The hard part is controlling myself from buying three more. Great selection and a calming atmosphere. Best and cutest local bookshop in Mesa.

Drove to Gilbert just to check out this bookshop and I was not disappointed! Laura (owner) is the sweetest person and so very helpful. Her shop is perfectly curated and if you have young children, you’ll want to bring them in and get them hooked on reading!
