Lorraine and her team of professionals were fantastic in getting our home listed and sold on our schedule and handled everything while we traveled across country. All we were left to do was fly back and move our furniture out and realize how fortunate we were to have someone in our corner who handled everything effortlessly. Our experience working with Lorraine, who represented the seller of the home we purchased, was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Several key features listed in the property description were simply inaccurate. The listing stated the home had paid-for solar panels, which turned out to be old, non-functional panels used to heat the pool water. The listing also advertised a balcony off the primary bedroom, which did not exist. When these issues were raised, the mistakes were attributed to her assistant. The transaction nearly fell apart over a roof that needed repair, which Lorraine said her client was “too emotional” to address. After the deal collapsed, we were surprised to be contacted a week later saying the seller would now repair the roof after all. There were also problems surrounding furniture the seller wanted to leave behind. Lorraine sent us photos and prices of items remaining in the home, but repeatedly prevented us from coming to see them in person, again citing that her client was “too emotional.” We eventually agreed to purchase several pieces and signed an agreement and paid for them. Later we discovered that one of the items we had already purchased had been sold to someone else. Lorraine said she would replace it, but that never happened. When we finally took possession of the house, a significant amount of unwanted furniture had simply been left behind, including a very large desk upstairs. Lorraine even suggested my husband bring “some strong friends” to move it out ourselves. I have worked with many real estate agents over the years, and this was by far the most disorganized and frustrating experience we’ve had. Communication was inconsistent, details were misrepresented, and accountability was repeatedly shifted to others. Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage both buyers and sellers to ask detailed questions and verify information carefully when working with this agent.
