This gym is honestly amazing and very well equipped. It has every machine you can imagine, plenty of free weights, and clearly separated areas for different types of training. You can find all the equipment you need to work every part of your body properly. The staff at the reception is very friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. The only small detail I did not love is that there are not many machines specifically for abs training, but that is a very minor issue. Other than that, they truly have everything, even machines I had never seen before, designed to target very specific muscles. It is an excellent gym for serious training and variety.
Los Campeones is known for serious equipment, a focused training environment, and a real lifting culture. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear this gym is built for people who actually train. The layout is spacious, the equipment selection is stacked and nothing feels overcrowded or gimmicky. Unless you come on peak hours, I see why they had to open a new location in Round Rock, they are amazing. What really stands out is the balance between intensity and community. The atmosphere pushes you to work hard, but it’s still welcoming. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly care about maintaining the quality and culture of the gym. If you’re tired of commercial gyms that prioritize aesthetics over performance, this place is a breath of fresh air. Whether you’re bodybuilding, powerlifting, or just want a no-BS environment to get stronger, Los Campeones sets the standard. Highly recommend for anyone serious about training.
I stopped by for a day pass while traveling only to realize they actually give you a week pass if you’re a member at another Los location out of state. You can speed up the check in process if you complete the waiver ahead of time online. Overall, a very equipped powerlifting and bodybuilding gym. 7 squat racks (which also have platforms), with 5 additional deadlift platforms. They have both LB and KG bumper plates and calibrated plates. However, the only downside is only one bench/squat combo rack, but you can bench in the squat racks and there are two flat benches. There are plenty of accessory machines (hip thrust, hack squats, leg press, belt squats). They also provide chalk. There are locker rooms and snacks/protein/sports drinks/supplements for purchase.
I’ve been coming here for about a month and a half and wanted to wait before leaving an honest review. After getting a good feel for the place, I can confidently say this is my favorite gym I’ve been to in a long time. I’ve tried the big box gyms, they tend to feel overdone and a bit impersonal. I’ve also tried smaller independent gyms, they’re genuine but often lack the equipment or space. This gym strikes the perfect balance. The staff is genuine, the equipment is solid, and there’s always enough variety to get a great workout in. The regulars and overall community make it even better. You can tell people actually care here. It’s got the right mix of quality, atmosphere, and authenticity, easily the best gym in town.
** additional updated* my trainer doesn’t even teach classes at this gym - as you don’t even offer them... nice attempt at lying though. (: Dark and nasty just like the conditions at this gym. to include images post “cleaning” and the embarrassing response from the horrible ownership. Honestly the dirtiest gym in town. The dust has been collecting on the floors for months - in addition to mounds of hair, dirt, etc. it’s clear the bulk of the gym hasn’t been cleaned pretty much since it opened. With other gyms popping up in the area that are actually be kept up with, I’ll likely be looking elsewhere.
